like all the other Stone stores, so if you are a fan, these are an oasis. good brews on tap, great prices on growler fills, and merchandise if you need it.

Stopped in while they were having a vertical epic event for LA Beer Week. First, they staff was ridiculously friendly, nice, and helpful. So nice I was worried I was in the wrong place. Had a few 4oz pours that were really inexpensive (also a shock). Maybe my one experience at Stone World Bistros put me off and made me reluctant to even visit this place, but Iíll be damned if it wasnít downright great on all accounts. Bottles were cool and included some special treats. No food, but you can bring stuff in. If I didnít have work to do, I would have stayed most of the night.

Pretty cool spot. Clothes, stone stuff, bottles and maybe 15 lines of stone beers to try and fill growlers. 4oz tasters are pretty cheap. Staff seemed cool and the patio is nice.

Happened to be in town and noticed on the Stone twitter feed about a release this morning (the collaboration beer between Stone / FW / 21A) and thought I would head over. Stood around for about 30 min before they opened, a pretty big line and not everyone got one of the 12 oz bottles. Lots of merch here. Had two cool beers that I tried on tap - Cali-IPA aged in red wine barrels and their Matzen (a marzen style lager - the first lager theyíve done). Both were nice. Great place for the locals to fill growlers. The ladies behind the counter were doing a great job of filling growlers as well (Iíve seen places that just suck at doing it). Worth a short walk from Old Town for sure.

Visited October 16, 2013.

It only took a year (almost exactly since opening) to visit this place. After parking at the usual lot on Raymond and Colorado and a short hike to Congregation I was confused about where this actually was. I wasnít really looking for it but I did walk right by it and didnít notice it. Itís set back a little bit into the property so be warned. Inside is just as the name implies, a store, much like the one at the brewery. T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, glasses, BBQ sauce, hot sauce, towels, just about anything you can imagine with a Stone logo on it.

They dont serve any food but in old town Pasadena there isnít a shortage of food options. I suspect that you can bring in food but I didnít ask. There are a dozen Stone taps, several of which were new to me so naturally I tried those (some dandelion IPA and another one). The service was very nice and there werenít a ton of other customers so it was easy to get a beer and get some questions answered. Nice place if you need to load up on growlers or Enjoy By bottles and I think they occasionally have the Quingenti bottles available here. Iíll stop in when at Lucky Baldwins but I probably wonít make the 50 mile drive just for this. Also, itís expensive.

Nice stop up the street from Congregation, down the street from Lucky Baldwins, a few blocks from Haven, and army crawling distance from the metro. Relaxed and spartan interior. Minimal rarities while I was there (BA Old Guardian I guess). No special growler fills, but I guess it is nice to be able to get growler fills of stone beer in the greater Los Angeles area. Good merch, easy to get kegs. Multiple sized growlers (from 40oz to 2L). Worthy.

Cool patio area outside, the store is about the same as the original in Escondido in terms of decor and vibe. The service here is a serious bottleneck. I stood in line for at least 15 minute chunks without moving as beer after beer ran out, not to be replaced. Pretty poor experience.
