Improving selection. Prices a little steep. Clean and organized. Ample parking.

The Stop ’N Go is located just south of the main UC campus on McMillan, sharing a cross street with Pomodori’s Pizza. It’s a typical quick-stop convenience store, and seems new and clean on the inside. Two brawny clerks were at the registers, looking more like bouncers than cashiers- maybe that’s their crime stopping method. That said, reading previous reviews of this place, it isn’t any more crime-ridden than any other convenience store in a major city. Don’t be afraid. The beer selection is surprisingly good- tons of six packs from places like Bell’s, Founders, Bear Republic, Dark Horse, Great Lakes, Rogue, and many more. There aren’t a lot of good single bottles, some 22 oz. ones, so that’s my main knock on the place. There are plenty of tall boys and 40s of cheap ones, if that’s your need for the evening- which I’m sure comes in handy near UC. Great place to stop in and grab a six pack.

This was the line of demarcation for us at night in college - we always tried to stay north of what was commonly known among UC students as the "Stop N Rob". I was surprised to find such a nice selection of micros when I went in the afternoon of Homecoming, but still would be hesitant to visit after dark.

Mini-mart near campus that carries quite a few domestic craft beers - mostly six packs. All the beer is refrigerated. Very close to campus. Looks pretty much like a 7-11 inside. Staffed du jour.

For a mini mart it actually has a decent selection of beer. You can get some micros as well as imports. Of course all the big brewerys also. All kept cold. Right across the street from the UC campus so the location is nice as well.
