96 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 potbeerjob (21) Denver, Colorado | December 13, 2012 So good with so many new one offs that ratebeerians can’t even keep up with how many new brews they come up with!!! A new one every Wednesday. The people are awesome and brew is often inspiring and at the very least...."STRANGE"... please remember, all your friends were strangers once! | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Kpmomo (4) Denver, Colorado | February 13, 2012 Great little brewery hidden in an industrial area between railroad tracks and underneath a highway in a mini strip mall-- but worth seeking out-- really a great find! Very friendly staff and cozy little wooden bar, with a garage door that opens in warm months. On their 1st anniversary party last spring, they had live bluegrass music, which seemed to fit really well in that space. Tasty beers too, I’m especially a fan of the farmhouse and the saison. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 Concealer (11) Denver, Colorado | March 22, 2013 Strange is a really cool brewery. They have lots on tap and get a little experimental with their small batches. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 NachlamSie (447) Tennessee | January 20, 2013 This is a little tasting room tucked away in a small plaza. They’ve done well with the space with a TV, a small bar and a few tables. A food truck comes on the weekends, otherwise it’s just popcorn. The beer selection covered a good amount of styles with a few rotating that seem to usually be something interesting. I was here on a Tuesday night and a few locals were hanging out enjoying good beer. Pretty cool spot. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 BrewDad (408) Olympia, | October 15, 2012 Intresting place nice tap list the beer was so so. They have food trucks outside. A nice local place. | 86 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 craftbeerdesign (100) Alpharetta, Georgia | November 27, 2011 small new brewery in Denver near the football stadium. small tasting room with a few taps offering a variety of styles that Strange has at the moment - all great beer. gave me 3 samples for free since I didn’t want the full sampler since I had to drive out to the airport. I’ll be back. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 theisti (352) Leawood, Kansas | March 21, 2012| Updated June 28, 2012 Visited mid-afternoon on a Thursday in March. The spot is located more or less under I-25 so lacks a bit in curb appeal. Beautiful sunny day, which made this the perfect place to have a couple of beers in the sun. The set up is a light industrial garage, with a brewery on one side, tasting room on the other. Seating is a bit cramped, but the place oozes character. They had about 7-8 beers on draft, plus they had a food truck outside grilling up steaks. Crowd was very relaxed, and the service was super friendly and helpful. I love places that feel like you are heading out in someone’s garage. I had the Kriek and a Saison, and both beers were solid. Fun visit, would certainly hit this a bunch if I still lived in Denver. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 adnielsen (325) Fort Collins, Colorado | October 13, 2010| Updated June 1, 2012 In a crappy part of town and has a very small tasting room. They only had a couple of beers when I went there. The guy working was very friendly but the beers were pretty good. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 alagnak (51) Littleton, Colorado | January 16, 2012| Updated June 1, 2012 Great, small little place in an older industrial strip mall (think small warehouse) just south of mile high and just west of 25. When I visited (January 2012), the offerings were very broad - from Kriek to a rum vanilla porter and lots in between - probably 12 different beers, impressive for a small operation. I only had 3 (’farmhouse’, IPA and th saison), and all were clean, technically well done, and, most importantly, delicious. Conversation was great, overall a friendly place that I didn’t want to leave and wished was around the corner (although, nothing is really around the corner). As its about 80% from office to home on my commute, it’s firmly in the rotation. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 arkurzynski (72) West Bend, Wisconsin | September 18, 2012| Updated June 1, 2012 Out-of-the-way industrial area, but worth the trip. Small locale with small bar area and small eating/tabled area. 7 or 8 taps of unique, impressive brews for the size of the operation. Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend if in the area. These guys are quickly outgrowing their surroundings. |
