80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 Tim Webb (173) Cambridge, England | October 1, 2011 I really liked this place. They are mostly just starting and some of the beers had technical issues but these are solvable. What is irreplaceable is the cantina-type, small town Mexico layout, which I found rather appealing in an off-mainstream kind of way. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 Ratman197 (125) Arvada, Colorado | June 19, 2010 Kind of hard to find if you don’t know the area. Small tasting room with a laid back feel. The service was great and it was more like drinking at a friendsa house. Selection was light this time with 3 beers, but taps for 7, so this should improve. Well worth seeking out! | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 JPDurden24 (110) Chandler, Arizona | October 17, 2012 A pretty cool brewery in Denver with a nice staff, hot dog cart outside and decent beer. Very enjoyable. | 86 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 craftbeerdesign (100) Alpharetta, Georgia | November 27, 2011 small new brewery in Denver near the football stadium. small tasting room with a few taps offering a variety of styles that Strange has at the moment - all great beer. gave me 3 samples for free since I didn’t want the full sampler since I had to drive out to the airport. I’ll be back. | 72 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Steve_0 (72) Denver, Colorado | February 26, 2012| Updated January 28, 2013 Not very strategically located and is very secluded. The staff was friendly, but the beer was OK. Their kriek is great though, so if they have it on tap definitely try it. The atmosphere is kind of drab and it is not decorated well at all. If you are going to Mile High or Mile High Station, it is very close by and worth a try. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 arkurzynski (72) West Bend, Wisconsin | September 18, 2012| Updated January 28, 2013 Out-of-the-way industrial area, but worth the trip. Small locale with small bar area and small eating/tabled area. 7 or 8 taps of unique, impressive brews for the size of the operation. Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend if in the area. These guys are quickly outgrowing their surroundings. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 onceblind (66) Denver, Colorado | August 20, 2011| Updated January 28, 2013 Really cool little place in a crappy looking part of town. Lots of hard work and love put into making it look nice. Not much space, but it’s never too crowded. Unfortunately most of the selection is average. There’s a couple of standout brews, but they run out fast. Nice people, especially the head brewer. Just lacking in beer awesomeness. | 58 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 waolsen (64) Littleton, Colorado | May 12, 2012| Updated January 28, 2013 in industrial area near Sports Authority Field. little outside sitting area. small bar. picnic tables and a couple of tvs. Beers were decent. 5-6 on tap. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 alagnak (51) Littleton, Colorado | January 16, 2012| Updated January 28, 2013 Great, small little place in an older industrial strip mall (think small warehouse) just south of mile high and just west of 25. When I visited (January 2012), the offerings were very broad - from Kriek to a rum vanilla porter and lots in between - probably 12 different beers, impressive for a small operation. I only had 3 (’farmhouse’, IPA and th saison), and all were clean, technically well done, and, most importantly, delicious. Conversation was great, overall a friendly place that I didn’t want to leave and wished was around the corner (although, nothing is really around the corner). As its about 80% from office to home on my commute, it’s firmly in the rotation. | 96 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 potbeerjob (21) Denver, Colorado | December 13, 2012| Updated January 28, 2013 So good with so many new one offs that ratebeerians can’t even keep up with how many new brews they come up with!!! A new one every Wednesday. The people are awesome and brew is often inspiring and at the very least...."STRANGE"... please remember, all your friends were strangers once! |
