A classic pub within the Sheperd neame family. Basically a few Sheperd neame beers including 3 cask in good condition. Friendly service, good food and a very nice beer garden. As they also offer accommodation I guess this might be one of the best places to stay in town.

A classic town centre pub with a good mix of history, architecture, decent beer (if you like Shepherd neame, which you pretty much have to if youíre in Faversham) and a lively, mixed clientele. Plus it now does good accomodation and is the best place to stay in Faversham as there are no longer any proper hotels in town. On a trivial note, the landlord is Richard Coughlan the drummer for Caravan and various other bands in the "Canterbury Scene" years ago. Faversham, indcidentally, is a good place for a weekend break.

I have visited the sun inn this year in may. The weather was great so we used the very nice garden at the back off the pub. My ploughmans lunch was great. De beers were also from good quality. The manager was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Overall a very nice pub!

A Shepherd Neame pub in the brewery's home town. The building dates from the last year of Richard the Lionheart's crusades, and is known to have been an Inn since 1608. There is a list of landlords since that time on the wall inside. The best room is up three steps on your right hand side as you enter. This has a huge fire place. It is a great place to sit and relax, have a long conversation, or play a game or two of chess (bring your own board). Accommodation is available.
