Small specialty shop whose focus is on wine & deli, but also sporting a modest but carefully considered beer selection comprised roughly of 2/3 craft and 1/3 imports. Cannot break up or mix 6ers. Price are as good or better than Binnyís. Lower rating for service for a odd reason: we initially tried to stop in at 10:20pm on a Thursday. The posted business hours showed a closing time of 11:00pm. There was a staff person and one custome sitting in the deli area with the TV on, yet the door was locked and the lights were low. No acknowledgment of me standing outside in the rain. Very very annoying. Returned a few days later and bought one bottle of Stone Espresso Stout, then proceeded on to Binnyís and dropped about $250 to fill the res of my inventory.

As has been said mostly wine and spirits. The beer selection is small but has some nice choices. i wish for a little more and the staffer i dealt with didnít know his beers. Defintely a great place for wine and spirits and you may find some worthwhile beers.

Another place located close to where I grew up. This is primarily a wine and gourmet food shop. They have a small bar where you can order food, and drink wine and beer. A hip and unique place. The beer selection is limited compared to other beer stores in town. However, the beers they do stock are all decent. No crap. When I was there over Christmas, they were the only place that still had Storm King... and I bought the last one.

They have a decent selection of beers, but not up to the Friar Tuck (Savoy) or Corkscrew (Urbana) or Picadilly (Champaign) standards. Youíll find everything Sun Singer has at one of these other stores, usually for less $. They have a reasonable cheese selection, although I have not eaten anything else. I always find the manager to be pretentious, even though Iím fairly knowledgable about wine and beer.

I am very impressed by this place. The selection is way better than the last review said, but that was over a year ago. They have the standards from companies like Bells, Three Floyds, and Dogfish Head.Plus, I just picked up a DREADNAUGHT there! They have tons of other weird beers, some good and some not so good. They have a full line of Avery bombers, including imperial Kaiser. Prices seem fair but inconsistant. Bells are overpriced but Rogue bombers are like $4. Alpha King was less than $8. Limited selection of individual bottles which is kind of a bummer. I did not eat there.

This is a one of a kind place in Champaign. High end wine, liquor, and sort of beer, with an on premise bar. The bar allows you to buy a six pack, chill it and drink it at the bar. That's cool, but the selection looks totally thoughtless. Certain good breweries are represented but are so limited its ridiculous. Three Floyd's--Pride and Joy and Alpha King only, Bell's--Amber, Pale Ale, Kalamazoo Stout, only, Avery--Redpoint Amber only, etc. Employees know wine, maybe some scotch but don't know anything about beer. There are better places to shop in town, don't bother. --

As a place to buy beer, this is okay. Limited number of single bottles, however. Stay away from their deli and their lounge. The deli is overpriced and in the lounge they charged me corking fees for wine from their menu. Their appetizer plate meant to feed 3-4 people would barely satisfy one.

Nice place to visit and look around. Very clean, new, upscale feel to it. Lots of staff, however, their understanding of beer is quite limited (being that this is mostly a wine shop). If you ask someone who does not know about the beer they will go into a back room and look that beer up on the internet.
