Visited September 2012.
This was actually one of our first stops in Koln but they weren’t open yet so we walked around to half a dozen more breweries/bars and came back to tick some Whales. We sat in the little bar area (very little) to the right when you enter. It really is tiny. One small table by the window and 1, maybe 2 seats at the bar. There are a couple of taps and a fridge full of beer. Apparently Sünner makes more beers than I realized before. A number of them are in the fridge to buy by the bottle. The main dining area is a bit more comfortable with real tables and seating but we chose the bar since we weren’t interested in food. Sitting right by the taps and fridge meant service was quite good.

Walked in and was told to go sit in the bar or outside, we were just checking the place out! Took forever to get a beer and it wasn’t that good when we finally got it. Prices were a bit high too. I’d pretty much avoid this place unless you want beer served in your own tower.

A very cheerful little bar selling both Kolsch and hefeweizen by Sunner brewery. Can get crowded.

Visited on Friday 26/04/13 around 2300.
High ceilings, head hight wooden pannelling on the walls, trad barrels on the bar for the kolsch.
Place was only 50% full which was a surprise as the last few venues had been packed.
We snagged a largeish table for 5 no probs.
Fairly prompt service.
2 beers available, a kolsch and a hefe.
Nice little venue, good to hear yourself speak and maintained a decent vibe despite not being packed. Pretty much all locals in the clientele base ourselves aside.

Pretty tiny little place. Sat in the incredibly small bar area. They have a kolsch as well as a couple other beers. Tried their wheat beer, too. Service was very good, food looked and smelled great, and the beer wasn’t too bad either.

Cozy and warm. Friendly. Can get really crowded. Medicore - but solid Kolsch. We visited a couple of times. Good experience. Food was amazing. They have their weizen in bottles.

A very nice place, authentic and classic. Sitting in the tap room and watching the bar man at work, filling glasses from the barrel was nice. Sünner kölsch is average, but definitely served fresh here.

Was lucky enough to be able to tag along to an extremely thorough tour of brewery including view of open fermentation tanks, the distillery, beer from tank prior to filtration, and an excellent meal in the biergarten.

Dry and to the point. Litlle interaction like in most Brewpubs of Cologne.
