Spent too much time here during college...not because it was awesome just because that’s what you do in college. It’s about quantity not quality. There’s no way all those tap lines are fresh...I can tell you they weren’t. Average college bar food and service. Ambiance is just OK if you like a college vibe. Not that much interesting on tap.

Massive tap list that is a good 4+ pages long and varieties in every style imaginable. Food is also excellent with locations in Allston and across the street from the Boston College athletic center. Easy access to the Green Line at both locations.

Came here before EBF for the Short’s event. Quite the huge place and the taplist is indeed monstrous. The number of taps is certainly impressive, but aside from the rare Short’s beers they had on for the event, there wasn’t anything that seemed out of the ordinary, and would not be out of place at any decent craft beer bar. So it’s sort of like five of those type of places combined. Service was pretty good, especially considering that our table was myself, my wife, and two more RB guys, and three of us were ordering a sampler each much of the time.

Unbelievable 110 taps outside Boston on the green line of the T. Had some gems, including Lost Abbey Angel’s Share, Firestone Walker Nectar IPA, etc. Food was good, not great. Excellent place.

Great beer bar down in the heart of Allston. Immense tap selection as well as bottled beer. Possibly a little overwhelming for a beginner but a welcoming wealth of options for a beer geek. Took me longer to choose my beer each time than it did to order my food. The grub was pretty decent as well and expands away from your typical "bar food". I’ll definately be stopping in whenever I get the chance.

A great bar . Good for the veteran beer drinker or the newbie looking for things to branch out with. Food is pretty consistent. Place is always packed. If in the area this is a must try.

You will be confronted by a drastically overwhelming beer menu with hundreds of choices that never seem to be unique. The food is typical pub grub and you can expect to wait over an hour for a table on weekends. That being said, every time I go here I have an awesome time and wind up spending at least 6 hours drinking yards of beer and finding ludicrous topics to discuss. This is not the place for a date but if you are looking to get rowdy with a group of friends you can’t beat Sunset.

I would go here for the beer, and only the beer, in the middle of the afternoon. At night, especially on weekends, you will be surrounded by very drunk, foolish college studnets. Service makes par. Selection is quite good, a ton of taps and bottles, but I never saw anything incredibly rare / allocated, or aged / sepcial release / cask offerings. Food is flat out bad, especially in repspect to its price. I guess alot of people reviewing on here have been eating of the kids menu at TGI Fridays their whole life. Overall a great place to drink beers when its not crowded, you’ll find something you haven’t had, but don’t go for dinner.

Another fantastic Boston beer temple. A typical american pub look, but the tap selection is amazing, even stellar. And they offer various types of flights, 4X 4on, 4 X 2 on, price depends on beers chosen. The food menu is good pub grub with generous portions. Another must go!

Food was average but not why you’re here anyways. 120 taps the night I was there and a ton of bottles. Great regional selection and oddly enough lots of CA beers. Definitely more geared toward US brews but still some decent imports as well. Worth a trip if you’re in the area. Also there’s a liquor store a block away with a decent beer selection.
