The circus-like appearance and scene was a little much for me, but the list is incredible. Such an odd place, packed with students pulling on table-tappers and me, drinking barrel-aged beers. The menu is largely unreadable, but holds some significant gems if you dig through. Didnít try any food. Will probably go back, just because the beer list is so freaking long.

Came here before EBF for the Shortís event. Quite the huge place and the taplist is indeed monstrous. The number of taps is certainly impressive, but aside from the rare Shortís beers they had on for the event, there wasnít anything that seemed out of the ordinary, and would not be out of place at any decent craft beer bar. So itís sort of like five of those type of places combined. Service was pretty good, especially considering that our table was myself, my wife, and two more RB guys, and three of us were ordering a sampler each much of the time.

You just cannot beat the selection, at least in the northeast; actually I think this is the largest selection Iíve seen anywhere in New England, New York, or the midwest, and we were sure as heck excited to see a Dark Star beer on cask first thing on the beer menu! Alas, it was out. Food and ambiance are, as noted, collegiate/divey at best. Cuvee van de Kaiser in a pint glass? Worth a stop for sure though, itís been quite a while since Iíve seen as many beers that I havenít had in one bar.

I spent many an afternoon, evening, and night in this place on weekends during my Boston College years. Itís a few blocks away from the Harvard St. stop on the green B line on the T, so it is easily accessible without having to drive or take a cab. The food is decent bar food, but lets be honest, this place is all about the beer, and they do it up right. The multitude of taps makes this place a gold mine for beer lovers. You can even get your favorite brew served up in a yard or half yard. One of the best places in Boston to sit and sip a few brews.

Slightly dingy which gives it character. Otherwise, large, nice bar with a good amount of table seating. The largest draft selection in boston. Very impressinve including some very very hard to find brews (lost abbey angelís share barrel aged on draft for example). A must see in boston. Very extensive, great food menu. Very reasonable prices for boston.

My skirt was not blown up, but I got what I came for. I truly believe this place fills up with goofball Boston College kids at night but I sure was there on a weekday afternoon, so maybe stick to that. The food you can find basically anywhere, the beer - on my trip - I could have found at most better places in Boston. Iíd rather be down at the Publick, myself.

One of the best beer bars in MA...definitely a must vist while anywhere near Boston. This place is a lot of fun although it can get quite crowded. Used to visit frequently when me son lived a couple of towns away. Check it out if in the area...

I went to here for more than a decade when I worked in the area. My name is on the Hall of Foam downstairs. So Iím biased. Its a fun place. College crowd mixed with beer people. Sit at the bar for better service. Raspberry mayo shark sticks are a good appetizer choice, Burgers and daily specials are a good choice.

100 taps is great, unless half the lines are infected or really old. SERIOUS quality control issues here. Also, we were sat and then didnít have a server come to our table... ever. We eventually just moved to the bar and had (infected) drinks.
