Rather plain tavern that lets large, naughty pub grub and a wall of taps do most of the talking. Has the weaknesses of many places with many taps: tough for servers to really know about them (ordered a porter, she brought an amber-colored strong ale, only to have bartender insist to waitress that it was in fact a porter, oh well), tough to have them at appropriate temperatures, with glassware other than shaker pints, etc. But most of us would say itís a fair swap for the selection, given druthers. Over-the-top burgers are part of the fun, too.

Stopped in for dinner and was amazed at all the taps and bottles they had to offer. Lots of Missouri beers and some good non-mainstream beers to choose from. The food has been on triple D, noted on their menu, and had a good selection of items to choose from. Our waitress was very knowledgable when it came to our beer selection. Many more to try, hopefully on our next visit. Well worth the trip in to Martin City.

The restaurant is located in a fairly standard restaurant building. When you walk in, there is a smallish bar directly in front of you, a larger restaurant area to the right, and a separate room to the left. I was told this room was not always open, but it was where our group was seated. Overall, the layout as a bit choppy, and the bar didnít seem very comfortable. The room we were seated in was nicely decorated, with whisky barrels supporting glass table tops. The food is the same menu as the Waldo location - sort of bar food with a bit of flair. The beer list was impressive, though a couple of the selections I wanted were not actually on. Service was solid, overall a decent time. At least at this point, new location seems to lack a lot of the character I like about the original location, though thatís to be expected out of the gate.

70 = ★★Ĺ (Locals should check it out, visitors with extended time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.
