I love the look and feel of this bar. Dark and cozy, with lots of wood. It is definitely a local kind of joint. Their bottle selection leaves a lot to be desired but the draft selection is usually pretty good and they always have a cask of something good being pumped. The food is delicious, you have gotta try the fried pickles. I go back from time to time to have a couple of pints with friends, if you find yourself in Astoria looking for a good place to relax there arenít many better places.

My favorite neighborhood pub. It has the best selection of beer in the area after Sunswick, but has much better food, decor, and service. Iím there at least once a week. The fries and mac ní cheese are addictive.

Astoria is generally lacking in the beer department, so this bar is a welcome addition. First off, the food is excellent (best burger Iíve had in Astoria, and the fried pickles are supposedly outstanding). All their produce is local, and theyíve tried to keep that theme with the beer. 10 taps, 2 casks, and a few bottles. Most of their tap selections come from NY breweries (Capt. Lawrence, Fire Island, Kelso, Southampton, etc.) . I actually donít recall seeing a single macro bottle or tap. Donít expect any rare finds here. Itís ridiculously crowded on weekends, but we had no problem getting a seat at the bar on a Wednesday evening. The bartender (Stuart) was outstanding; heís just getting into craft beer, loves to talk about it, and offers tastes or half pours. Canít wait for another burger and local craft brew.
