Large open restaurant with booths surrounding central bar ( like Houston’s). Beer selection is mix of house drafts and big box crap. Service is team approach, which can get annoying. Food is pretty good, though. If wait is longer than 15 minutes, go elsewhere.

Everyone around me was drinking Miller Lite and Bud Lite, except for the guy next to me who ordered a Guinness - even though they had a dry Irish stout brewed on premises. Do people know what a brewpub is? Or do they just let TV commercials make all their decisions for them? Holy shit, America! Get a clue!!! OK, now thats offmy chest, this place was similar to other SweetwTer locations, except they served their beer ice cold - I mean with actual bits of ice floating in it. Other than that, generic strip mall brewpub.

A large, open brewpub in the DC Metro area with two sister pubs. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. The service is efficient though uneducated. There are typically 5 or 6 house beers available. Even if they look busy, stop by because they turn over tables very quickly.

We went here while visiting a friend in the area. The place was absolutely packed on a Saturday night but apparently that’s a regular thing. The place is big; decent sized bar area, lots of TVs. Tried a few of the beers they had on tap, nothing spectacular or boundary stretchers, but they were all solid. The food was surprisingly excellent. More than just typical pub food and it was very well done. I was impressed with the service as well. No small brewpub vibe but a very fun place.

Stopped in to try the beer. Food looked good, but I’d just eaten lunch. Good service at the bar - they try to make it friendly. Small amount of beer available, but of decent quality. Really liked the wit. Wouldn’t mind going back for a meal.

From steak to ribs to fish the menu at Sweetwater is fantastic. They brew their own beer and usually have several year-round selections. Of the year round selections the Pale Ale is definitely a crowd pleaser and its definitely a solid beer. The seasonal selections can be hit or miss, but recently their spring bock (or maibock) was surprisingly tasty. In summary its not a cheap place to eat and drink, but its also not going to break the bank. I live close by and probably go once a month. Great food and sometimes great beer.

This is the second Sweetwater location that I’ve visited. It’s quite cozy inside, seating wise, but with high ceilings and a large window adding some light it seemed a bit more open. I showed up around lunchtime and the place was absolutely packed. There was a 20-30 minute wait for a table so I opted for the bar. The beers were solid, but none really stood out. The people here were exceptionally friendly, as they were at the Centreville location. Customer service must be a real emphasis at this company. I did not order food.

As others have written this place was packed. Service is good at the bar, slow at the tables. Typical American ice cream parlor flavored brewery. Beers were middle of the road. They change them too often to realy perfect them. Not a place to relax or talk in.

The place was packed on a Wednesday night with a predominately after-work crowd. Managed to find a seat at the bar. The bartender was friendly, but not particularly attentive. The venitlation system in the place was greatthe guy next to me lit a cigarette, and I was about to relocate, when I noticed I couldn’t detect any smoke odor at allit was all being sucked up into the overhead vents far above. The biggest drawback was the noiseit was downright awful. The food was good, but pricy. The only thing that really recommends the place was its location across the street from the hotel I was staying at for my business trip.
