Huge selection - but the only realy news I found was Swedish lagers. As a ticker I should be happy - but it doesn’t make me over joyed. But then again I picked up a the last bottle of Cantillon Goldackerl Gueuze - at 80 USD.

Goddammit - I bought a crate of Thomas Hardy 2005 here. 24 bottles for 1300SEK. Lovely staff - they went out back and hunted out that crate for me - they were down to only 3. That makes me a happy happy man! The range of Swedish pissy lager is shocking. Great for foreign tickers perhaps, but really Carlsberg and Abro should be nuked from orbit.

Large off-licence in the NK shopping centre. Had the best selection of the few of these shops I visited and is in a good central location. Prices good for Sweden.

Apparently the best selection in Sweden? I pity the Swedes. Sucks big time here. But I guess it’s best you can get in sweden. And the prices are reasonably compared to pubs, who charge outrageous prices.

Visited on a Saturday morning. I was impressed by the selection for a state monopoly. Lots of american stuff, quality bottles from everywhere, I was expecting more country ticks but that isn’t really a big loss for a beer selection. There was a ton of beer however. I wouldn’t buy too much hoppy stuff here as a lot of beer appears to sit there or in warehouses for a long time, but they have some really nice imperial stouts and barley wines and stuff that are worth checking out. Prices were high but not outrageous, sometimes better than in free beer market european countries. Definitely worth checking out. There wasnt much aisle service but the girl at the cash suggested a few beer places to us in Stockholm, and people were friendly.

SAQ type atmosphere mostly wine as usual at Systemolaget, I guess hey want people to be "classy" drunks or something. I came twice both times closed, I was like wtf? You close at 3pm?! So in that sense the service & atmosphere suffer, the selection from what I could see online seems to be the best in the country. Prices are the same at all Systembogalets which is to say pricey for Americans but coming from Japan pretty reasonable.

This is the best Systembolaget in Stockholm when it comes to their beer range. They normally stock all of the special releases (although you have to be quick!) and the range is fairly impressive.

The best selection of beers for Systembolaget in Sweden. Light interior.

Definitely the best Systembolaget store in Stockholm. Big selection of beer, lots of it is quite uninteresting, but they stock a fairly large selection of interesting beers and they do get some very interesting rarities a couple of times every month (they’re normally sold out they same day). Prices are actually quite decent, especially for the rarer stuff. Staff could be quite busy and the beer skills range from excellent to not so excellent.

Visited on a Saturday morning. Very large monopoly state store with a good selection of beer. Selection include some Swedish beers and a bunch of foreign beers, including some good bottles like Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti and alike. Nothing seems to be refrigerated, so I would be very cautious with hoppy stuff. Prices are decent, including on the foreign beers. Good store.
