A worthy beer stop on any Antwerp beer visit. Itís a fairly compact beer cafe located centrally with some outside seating. About 10 taps on offer, including one Struise (only Westoek mind you!). There was also some bag-in-box draft lambic. Bottle selection was varied and quite interesting. Although they didnít have much that I hadnít seen before I was more than happy drinking a Moriau gueuze. Coffee wasnít too shabby either. Worth a visit.

Located in Hoogstraat, one of the pedestrian lanes leading to the Groote Markt with its beautiful City Hall and merchant houses, this rather tiny place has definitely an impressive selection of bottles, featuring the well-known and respected Belgian classics. The 13 taps have something decent to offer, too. the staff, two decent ladies, are kind and friendly. I have kot tried the food - perhaps next time. Not exactly cheap but decent. A nice place to visit when in town.
P.S. Bonus ambience points for the quite ingenious water tap in the toilet!

Simply put: the best beer bar -next to the Kulminator maybe- in the center of Antwerp. They always have multiple good beers on tap, of which the Struise-tap and the Rodenbach Foederbier-tap are my alltime favorites. They have great knowledgeable staff, and you will always find a couple of beer geeks to talk to if the staff doesnít have time.

Nice place in the center of Antwerp - great service and a focused selection of gueuzes and Struise beers, plus some other more local breweries, next to the usual suspects. One tip: people might miss this as the non-specialised beer lover could see this as yet another belgian bar...

Itís about time I rated this place. An old traditional Belgian beer bar in the centre of town. A great draft and bottled selection and knowledgable staff. A "must visit" whenever in Antwerp.

Pretty spectacular place that specializes in their bottle selection, which features some fantastic lambics and an extensive Struise selection among other things. Quite a small place, but in the better weather months, the small outside is very charming. Service was fantastic - Dylan (kraddel) was very generous. A must stop in Antwerp.

The ambience of these places with the dried hop vines and antique beer signs is kind of silly, but also kind of fun. The bottle cooler is in open view here, making the selection process simpler and more thorough; the bottle selection is extensive with lots of obscure options, while the tap list is solid. If already in Antwerp, this is the definite second place to stop, and the more comfortable.

Visited with Tom. Came here on a Friday afternoon to enjoy a nice bottle of lambic on the terasse in the sun. Nice newer bar in the center of Antwerp. They have a nice selection, a few good bottled lambics, some unblended lambics, a few good taps including a rotating Struise tap. Dylan gave us some top notch service and a nice welcome which was appreciated. Prices are reasonable, especially for the location (which is very nice). Great place to enjoy some beers.

Visited twice on a Friday afternoon/evening. The bar ambiance/crown seems to be a lot younger than the two others main bars of Antwerp (Oud Arsenaal and Kulminator). It wasnít crowded when we visited and there was plenty of seating available. Service was made by Dylan (kraddel) who works than and was pretty good. The owner let us open a couple of our own bottles there and that was much appreciated. Selection is really interesting with a couple of lambics of tap as well as Struise Cuvťe Delphine and Rodenbach Foederbier. The bottles selection was interesting too and included Hommage b2 and a couple of other good lambics. Prices are very reasonable too, especially considering how close this place is from Antwerp Center. Very good beer bar that seems to be on the rise (compare to Kulminator who seems to be on the decline). I will visit again for sure if Iím in the area.
