Every bit as welcoming as their Whitefish brewery, with the same quality beers and food. As usual, we had the whole clan here and enjoyed it very much. Of note, our server treated our kids (ages 7-13) with the utmost respect-- something that always stands out to me when it happens. This is an off-the-cuff statement, but I think Tamarack may be my favourite microbrewery in Montana, as a total package-- quality beers, welcoming spacious pub with a good family vibe, and tasty pub grub.

Great place downtown with insane portions! I could not finish my lunch. 12 beers on tap some good some average. Great service. Looking forward to next time.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. Solid service, pretty decent selection, and prices were good. Burger was incredibly big, and tasted decent. Beer was good, but not great. Haven’t checked the other brewpubs yet, but this one is worth stopping at.

Wow, a Montana brewpub with food! And pretty good food, too. They had 11 beers on tap the night we visited ... None were bad, but none were really outstanding either. The best I had was the apricot wheat. My wife loved her enchiladas and I enjoyed a nice fresh salad, though, so it was worth the stop. Brewery #582.

Decent place. Too many college kids for my liking, and shit, I’m a youngin’, so this shouldn’t have bothered me, but it did. Anyways, head downstairs, if you’re lookin’ to actually eat and drink on premises. The food is decent; I wouldn’t call it spectacular, but it hits the spot. I like the other location better, as it is more picturesque. This location is bad; the ambiance is decent. The downstairs part has an open feel, a shuffleboard set, or whatever it’s called, is downstairs for entertainment. The bar is open, and has plenty of seating. The selection is comprises mostly their own stuff, which amounted to ~8 taps, or so, but there were three guest taps, when I went. The service was pretty good. Overall, not bad, but I was hoping that they’d have a special something on draught, but it seemed pedestrian.

Looks my favorite little brewery from the Whitefish area has a satellite location in Missoula. Located about 30 seconds walk from the Rhinocerous, this is a great place to grab a biote either before or after the Rhino, which ndoesn’t serve food. Food is always tasty, and above-average in terms of pub food. They have about a dozen of their own taps going at any given time, all of which are seemingly rotating, as well as 4-6 taps from other Montana breweries, which was nice to see. I’m a big fan of Tamarack, and their new location is very much like thir main one. Excellent beers, solid food, and right on the mark for value. A must-stop if you’re unfamiliar with the brewery.

Nice, big airy room, with a small bar and tables at the front, walk further back into the place and it opens up into a larger dining area, with a patio overlooking the river. Went here for lunch, so it was very quiet. Beer selection was good; majority rightly being Tamarack’s own, but there were also guest taps from other Montana brewers, which was nice to see. Large chalkboard with the list of beers available was just to the side of the bar. Beers were fresh, and served not too cold!!! Food was excellent; I went for the Andouille sausage & pulled pork sandwich, along with a pint of the Bitter Root Last Cast Black IPA and a pint of the Tamarack Switchback Stout just to further help wash it all down. Staff were friendly, chatty and helpful. I wish I had gone back later that night to see how the atmosphere is during the evening.

Wow, wow, wow. Great big remodeled two-floor showpiece of a place. Gorgeous construction, thoughtfully laid out for staff and patrons alike. Schmany bathrooms. Comfortable everything. Nice light. Tons of flat screens. Clearly, having a successful NHL veteran own you makes you a nice-looking restaurant.
The beers are very good. A little milder and more accessible than a couple other breweries in town, a little more mainstream appeal, but still pretty good for the beer nerd. They’re served quickly, with knowledge and enthusiasm, by kids who do not appear to be even old enough to drink. But how young they look says more about how old I am than it does about them.
The food is great. Fantastic burgers, good happy hour specials, good bites of this and that. Pub grub done very well. The place gets packed, but not rowdy. You can bring virtually anyone here and have a great time.

I’ve been meaning to come here for a few months and finally made it happen. The inside is very nice and new, kind of dark but clean atmosphere as opposed to a dark and dingy bar-like atmosphere. They were pouring 6 Tamarack beers along with one beer each from a few other local Montana breweries. There is a bar area in front with a few tables, then a large room in back with plenty more seating, Also a very large bar area with more tables downstairs. Nice place overall, just lacks that homey feel that the Rhino across the street has.
