A great bottle shop with a very impressive bottle list. The staff was amazing as they even bubble wrapped each of my bottles so I could secure it in my luggage. My only critique would be to carry more Japanese beer. Massive liquor selection as well!!

A beautiful liquor store found downstairs that has a warm, cellar feel. A great beer selection no doubt, mostly from fan favourite breweries stateside and Europe. Not many Japanese beers in store, though I did pick up a few canned micros to quench the thirst with all that walking around the city. Quality beers here, not to mention all the other booze. Nice glassware selection as well, but pricey.

What an amazing place. Loads of choice and a good variety from all over the world. Glassware too. Prices are pretty good for Japan. I could have spent a lot of money here, and intend to over the course of the next few years. Like people have said, the selection of Japanese micros is a little small, but there is still plenty to choose from. And yes, the store looks lovely too. Very pleased to have somewhere like this not too far from my place.

This place is crazy. I could easily have spent $1000 here. They have an amazing collection of US beers I can’t even find in Canada... The beer ’fridge’ is a work of art, all wooden. Japanese beer selection was a little weak, but they had some good ones like Isseki Nicho and a few Baird seasonals. Lots of rare Brewdog, Mikkeller, and Nogne O. Expensive, but about what it would cost me in Canada. If you’re in Tokyo and love alcohol of any kind it’s worth a visit or two!

Picked up some rare beer here, had a great time just looking over what to get. Good range of local stuff as well as imports. The spirit selection was out of this world.

Enjoyed my visit to Tanakaya but it emptied my wallet. Great selection of beers from around the world - Belgium, Denmark, Norway, USA, UK, Germany and more. I went in planning to buy just some top Japanese beers but couldn’t resist buying some rare "retired" brews from Mikkeller and Nøgne Ø as well as a couple of bottles of the BrewDog/Nøgne Ø/ Mikkeller Black Tokyo* Horizon. These were quite expensive but the Japanese beers were quite reasonably priced. When I was there one of the staff went into the room behind the fridges to grab a bottle for someone - from what I could tell from peeking though the fridges from the front, it looked like the shelves in that room had more than just overstock - I suspect they may keep some special stuff back there for requests by people "in the know". Pity they are cash only, otherwise I could have spent a LOT more :)

Wow – I am pretty sure I’ve never seen this much American beers at a time. Lots of imports also from Great Britain, Belgium, Germany and others too. The prices are rather high on certain labels but then again it is rather certain that this is the only place to get those rarities.

Japanese beer has its own section – a cold bin nearby the cashier. And that section is rather small compared to all other beers I found in this shop. And one has to pick up bottle by bottle to see what there is.

Bear in mind that like in other shops in Japan, cards are not accepted and beer is sold cold. Easy to find once you do not believe the RB map. Take north exit and turn left on Mejiro Dori. Once you find Mc Donalds, it is in front of your eyes.

Pretty sure I haqve never seen a better range of craft beer stocked in a fridge. Some focus on the US but otherwise barely any crap. Would have liked to have seen more Japanese micros but had I read the previous reviews properly I wouldn’t have had an issue. Good service. I thought pricing as ok with a selection of IPAs and PAs (from the likes of Shiga Koen etc) costing around 400 yen on average.

Great selection, mainly of wines and spirits. I went there to find Japanese craft brews and wasn’t disappointed. Good range of local stuff although not huge. Lots of Baird, Shiga Kogan etc. Very near to Meijiro station too. Get the ’Beer in Japan’ iphone app to help you find it. Expensive too, although beer is always expensive in Japan.
