Great bottle shop, carrying some really good beers, some of which are pretty hard to find by any standards, let alone in Japan. Downside is the terrible selection of Japanese craft beer. Having had some awesome beers in Japan, thereís no excuse. Certainly worth a trip if you live in Japan and want to stock up your cellar.

Reasonable prices and a 200 or so bottle selection. Staff is not very helpful. The woman there seems to be in a perpetually bad mood. Nothing terribly rare but if this is the best Tokyo has to offer, you should just visit an actual Japanese brewery. 11/14 - Revisited to a pleasant surprise a lot more good brews and better service. Updated score refelcts such

Best liquor store Iíve found anywhere, Every time I pop in Iíve found something new, even found my all time favourite beer here. I wish theyíd restock it. All round great selection international and local brews. (the spirits selection is also amazing). Prices very reasonable. Itís a win.

This is the bottle and can Mecca in Tokyo. Great, hand-selected beers that seem to change quite often. Atmosphere is almost like being an old church. The shop itself is absolutely beautiful. Prices are fair for Tokyo (cheaper than Daimaru). The glassware selection is pretty amazing as well. The Japanese craft selection is lacking imo, but they always have a solid selection of Shiga kogen and Baird (including seasonable for both). The Belgian selection is the best in Japan and the American selection isnít too shabby either. I donít really interact with the staff but the service is average I guess.

Brilliant little shop right near Mejiro station. The staff were quite helpful and very friendly (naturally, theyíre Japanese). The guy I spoke to knew his beer and even slipped in a free Japanese craft beer magazine for me. Thereís heaps of Japanese stuff for Japan newbies like me and also a pretty impressive collection of international stuff for the locals and regulars. Thereís also a respectable selection of sake if youíre into that. Prices are up there but itís Japan so youíre not getting much for cheap. Definitely stop in to a pick up a few bottles.

Tanakaya is a great liquor/wine/beer store. Very close walk to the Mejiro JR station (right on the Yamanote line). It has a huge beer selection, mostly American, British, Belgian, and Japanese. Very heavy on Belgian lambics and krieks. The one kick is that itís cash only. Sent me looking for an ATM on my first visit. In addition to beer, this shop has one of the most extensive collection of various liquor that I have seen in Tokyo, at very nice prices. Huge selection of tequila, mezcal, armagnac, cognac, vodka, rum, gin, jenever, aquavit. Very nice single-malt and blended whisk(e)y section, with great representation from all over the world. Might need to head back soon.

The service was very good. Not as happy as others about this store. The number of bottles past their bbd was wayyyy too many;the first 6 american beers that i took out of the fridge were past their bbd. Would of like a a better selection of German biers. Best thing about going was the bakery across the street.

A basement shop next to Mejiro station. Great selection of international craft beers. They also have a dedicated cooler for japanese beers. Prices are not expensive.

Been a while since I was here, but itís hard to forget this place. Good selection of beers, but local and foreign. Probably the best selection I found in Tokyo. Luckily my hotel was close by, so didnít have to carry the bags of beer and glassware that far. Great place to stop by and stock up before heading out.

In a basement 30m away from Mejiro Station. Mainly a spirits store but has a fantastic selection of international craft beers. Japanese selection is poor and they are not even displayed properly which is very disappointing. Prices not bad and service satisfactory. Has signed photo of Jodie Foster on counter. Donít waste your time coming here for local beers but it is great for other countries.
