Atmosphere is quite horrible for me. Quite like night club with tons of taps on the wall. Took one beer and then I left. Not a place for me.

You wouldnít notice it from the outside, because after the entrace you will have to walk the stairs down to the underground; the red shades and two-storey space down there is a bit hellish; strange crowd leaning over the S-shaped counter, behind which the wall is puntuated with 160 taps; 140 are supposed to be consistent, while 20 are rotating; now, even if the rotating tap menu is just a printout, still they donít update it, so 3-4 beers were actually not available when I visited; very slow service. I checked the food that arrived next to me; I didnít try it, but it was uninviting.
Iíd go there only for the ticks; yet, I think itís an expensive place.

Atmosphere is pretty sterile but service is efficient and the selection pretty impressive, even though I suspect some of the beers remain on tap for weeks and thus may not be so good. Still, I had several very good Washington craft beers, in addition to more distant beers - both American and from Europe - that tasted really good. Iím no fan of places with 100+ taps, but if youíre in the area Taphouse Grill is worth checking out. Visited: 2014-08-04.

Incredible beer selection, pool hall ambiance, OK food, incredible beer selection, with a staff that donít know beer from shinola.

Big place underground. Nothing really special about the atmosphere, but obviously the 160 taps are noticeable. That said, most of the regular taps are stuff that typical beer geeks will have had before. The real treat is the Rotating Handles, of which there are about 20. I found some gems there, though the sample at $10.95 for four beers was pricey. Friendly staff, music was a lot of cheesy 80s stuff. Overall worth a stop due to its location downtown, but not worth an extended stay.

One of these places hey? In a large basement lies this Yard house like steak house with more than a hundred tap of good to decent stuff that even as a tourist, you seem to have tasted 95% of the beers before. Fortunately, many of them are beers youíd like to have again, but Iím not sure it would be very appealing to an American from another state visiting Seattle. Atmosphere is fairly dull, cold, well itís a steak house, even at the bar, it seemed to lack some action for all the tall ceiling and impressive tap lineup in front. Food was okay, as good as is generally expected from these places and priced accordingly on the expensive side for the quality you get. Expect to get exactly what youíre anticipating when entering this place.

Look how many taps I can jam in to one place! At least itís not ridiculously jammed with BMC, but thereís still a strong showing. They have representative taps of most of the more notable west coast breweries, but 160 is just too much. Thereís no way they can keep this many lines clean and fresh. Taphouse is in a basement, and it is corporate and stale.

Huge, corporate looking, basement bar in the middle of downtown. Huge curved bar, loads of seating. 160 taps on the back bar follow the curve of the bar. Good selection of local/PNW beers, especially on the rotationals. Service was friendly, and my server seemed to know a little about the beers. Didnít have to ask for any advise/recommendations though. Went for the sample paddles due to the numerous beers I wanted to try; 4 x 6oz glasses for $10.00. Happy hour food was good; nice fresh sushi and a great price. The place is kinda quiet up until 4pm, and then it gets real busy & loud. I originally walked in, saw the decor and walked out again. Real glad I went back on 2 more occasions, and would definitely go back again. Itís a great place to crash whilst The Lush is off shopping in Macyís ;-) Visited 10/12 July. #EBGA

I came here expecting a corporate brewhouse, and left pleasantly surprised. very good food (I enjoyed a huge ahi tuna sandwich) and a beer list that was 4/5 unexceptional* beers mostly from their standard lineup, 1/5 interesting rotating beers -- which may sound unimpressive but with 100+ taps makes for a lot of interesting beers. *As a previous reviewer noted, some of these "unexceptional" beers are very good if locally common Washington micros -- making this place perhaps an even better stop for out-of-state visitors.

A bit classy. It is downstairs in a basement, there is a large bar and quite a few tables. The service was good. The place didnít seem too busy, and I was well attended. I didnít ask many questions on the beer, but the waiter was able to give a recommendation when asked. Obviously the draft list is solid, a wide range of beers and all kinds of styles. Local and import. The food was really good, and the value was so so for a place like this. Overall I would visit again. Worth a trip if you are downtown.
