This is a cool little mom n pop’s specialty market located adjacent to Dad’s Kitchen. The beer is directly to the back of the store, and they have a small, but pretty impressive selection of beer. They had a few odd-balls here that I hadn’t seen anywhere else in the area before. Probably worth checking out every now and then, especially if you’re in the area.

Nice little store, friendly staff. This is more a specialty grocery store than a beer destination. About 4 coolers of quality beer. Most of what you find here can be found at a local bevmo, but a few are not. Worth stopping by if you are in the area but not worth a special trip.

Cramped, and only about 4 refrig doors of beer. Good beer, mostly. Current regional rarities: Hopportunity Knocks and Stone 14th Ann. I’ll check in every 3 to 5 months.

This is a high-end grocery store that also runs an adjacent restaurant. It’s a small store so, in regard to beer, they focus on quality rather than quantity. One can often find a rare beer here that is not available elsewhere in the Sacramento region, as well as a nice selection of more standard high quality brews. There is usually at least one knowledgeable saleperson who is eager to talk beer. As a bonus, the Freeport Bakery, perhaps the best bakery in Sacramento, is located on the next block.
