70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20 b3shine (179) Cincinnati, Ohio | July 5, 2012 The first 3 beers I ordered from the menu were gone, so it wasn’t a good start. Food was pretty good, but the rest was forgettable. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 2/10 OVERALL 12/20 Drewsky (12) Cincinnati, Ohio | February 15, 2012 We really liked the food. The selection of beer is good for the neighborhood. | 64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 13/20 rondphoto (31) Lakeside Park, Kentucky | November 16, 2011 Went for a Troegs beer dinner, so my menu was already in place. Well prepared food, but not inexpensive. | 82 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 LilBeerDoctor (208) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | November 10, 2011 A nice, up-scale bar/restaurant in Hyde Park Cincinnati. I stopped by on a late Sunday afternoon and the place was fairly empty. It is a wide open space with plenty of tables and backrooms as well as a nice, long straight bar with flat-screen TVs. Very clean. The draught menu is quite extensive, perhaps 25-30 beers, although some of them are macros. A good, diverse selection that is bound to have something interesting (I got a BBC Saison and Bells Java Stout). They do have a house beer as well (the pale ale was on when I was there, I just got a sample of it and did not care for it). The food menu is on the pricy side, though not exorbitant (sandwich-type items for ~$15, entrees more pricy like $30) and the food is good, not your standard pub fare (I got the Baton Rouge Wrap which was very tasty). Anyway, overall I quite enjoyed the place and certainly would like to return for both the beer and food. Worth stopping by for sure! | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 13/20 jrallen34 (271) Chicago, Illinois | August 28, 2011 Went here for dinner and drinks, trendy atmosphere, cool crowd... Awesome draft list, super high quality with rarity.... the food is really good... this is a place to go | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 17/20 ADesenberg (20) Ohio | August 9, 2011 Great place in what used to be a bank. Tons of great taps! The food was also great. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 15/20 AndyReynolds (51) Wilder, Kentucky | March 1, 2011 Good beer menu. The staff is lacking on their knowledge of the menu though and suggests whatever the hot seller is (I went when Brew Masters was airing, so DFH was being pushed). With that said, if you know what you are doing, it is a great place, but a little on the pricey side. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 Packard (29) Kirkland, Washington | November 22, 2009 Came in here around 10pm Friday evening, and primarily a 20’s 30’s crowd. Four TV screens, nice upscale decor. Food was good, but not exceptional for the price. $33 for an 8-oz. filet was steep, but a good $22 blackened grouper was a decent value. Servers were knowledgeable, and manager personally delivered my glass of North Coast Brother Thelonius. Drafts include some good stuff - Goose Island Bourbon Imperial Brown, St. Bernardus Abt 12, Bell’s Best Brown, but total list of 30 taps and 50 bottles is signficantly populated by mass-market offerings. Overall, this is a decent place for a nice dinner with good beer. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 alexsdad06 (14) Ohio | August 3, 2009 One of the better stops you can make in Cincinnati if you are looking for craft beer on tap. The selection is generally very good for draft and bottles, but they are a bit pricey. The food is also very good but also on the more expensive side. It can be crowded and loud at times, but solid overall. Parking can also be an issue. Over the years the service has been friendly. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 phaleslu (314) Cincinnati, Ohio | July 3, 2009| Updated November 20, 2009 Just underwent a renovation in April 2009- nothing major but updated the interior, so it has a bit nicer ambiance than shown in the picture. Quite a few taps, I would guess a lot more than 20, as listed above. Microbrews from all over the country. Very good bottle selection as well. The food is definitely very good for a reasonably priced restaurant/bar like this- outstanding appetizers, decent pizzas, and a great kobe burger. Update: As of November 2009, Teller’s has Hoppin Frog BORIS, Goose Island Bourbon Imperial Brown, North Coast Brother Thelonious, St. Bernardus Abt 12, Bell’s Best Brown, and Founders Breakfast Stout, in addition to the usual macros and selections by Stone, Dogfish Head, Great Lakes, Bear Republic, Rogue, Ommegang, Left Hand, and so on. They’re stepping up their game. |
