Located in the middle of the countryside. You have to walk to the back of the farmhouse-like building, where you can enter a bar with a sports-canteen feel to it. Lots of people on saturday afternoon. Great atmosphere. Only a range of Texels beer available ofcourse, which are decent, but not spectacular or over the top. Must-visit if you go to Texel.

Visited today for a tour and tasting and to pick up some beers. Building itself is a functional brewery so not the most attractive, but quite touristy and even on this (or maybe because of this?) rainy day it was quite busy. (Probably very busy in the summer, then.) Pretty much all their non-retired beers on tap plus in bottles for sale. Bottles are super cheap. Also food available, but I didn’t have any. Tour itself is quite nicely organised. Ends with a 4 piece tasting. Should definitely go here when on the island (although there’s not much need to go here just for the brewery). Friendly staff.

We visited here on Wednesday 28th September 2011, we had cycled around the whole island and arrived here for a well deserved beer break, the weather may I add for late September was truly stunning with wall to wall sunshine. We sat outside in the sun, though inside was a decent sized bar area. Most of the usual bottles wee available along with the winterbier and also a few other accessories, like shirts, glasses, jackets etc. The building itself can best be described as functional, it certainly isn’t a looker, but the service, range and quality was all very good.

Visited late May 2010. We arrived too late for the last English tour, tagged along on a Dutch tour, the guide was kind enough to translate the high points. Definitely geared toward the tourist rather than beer enthusiast. Having said that, the beers are very good and the brewery is a must stop when visiting Texel.

Visited two years ago in September. First had the brewery tour, then afterwards visited the brewpub which is right behind the brewery. Bright wooden interior, a couple of tables, large bar with stools. I believe they had almost all their beers on tap, but I’m not too sure about that anymore. Large patio outside with festival seatings and a view on the countryside. Sympathetic owner, nice tour, good beers. Don’t know what the opening hours of the brewpub are, but I guess they open at the same time the first tour starts.
