Visited on 30th July 2014. Pleasant enough atmosphere, with a good-humoured pub quiz in full swing. Friendly staff. Reasonably kept Shepherd Neame and guest beers, although Iím bound to say Iíve had better despite the proximity to the brewery. That said there was nothing "bad" about the pub at all, and the atmosphere afforded by staff and clientele alike almost pushed the beer into the background on the night. A good "finishing pub" within 10 minutes walk of the rail station. I rather like this pub.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon, rather surprised that we were the the only ones on there. Clean tidy place but could do with some refurbishment in the pub. Only drank Spitfire, did not think it was good as it should have been, especially as the brewery is 300 metres away, and all the CAMRA stickers saying we have been in the GBG for the last 6 years.
