76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 Prufrockstar (13) Seattle, Washington | December 4, 2012 8 taps with some very nice things rotating through. Outdoor seating on lovely Lake City Way. Plenty of happy regulars. Burc (owner?) is great. Occasional cribbage and retro-gaming nights.
For bottles, the space is a little cramped, I haven’t been able to discern much of an organizational scheme, and it’s often hard to determine the price. For whatever reason, prices on bottles tend to run a few percent higher than other bottle shops I’ve been to in town.
Growler special on Monday. Website frequently updated with current tap list, and facebook frequently updated with current specials, events, and recent arrivals. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 CampesinoTino (71) Seattle, Washington | April 14, 2012 Lots of quality local, out-of-state and Foreign brews to choose from as well as a nice tap list. Makes for a good stop after hitting up the Elliot Bay brewpub. | 92 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 RyanAwesome (1) , | March 27, 2012 definitely the best bottle shop and beer bar in the area. Burc, the regular barkeep, is easily one of the most friendly and knowledgeable beer geeks in town. with an awesome selection of rotating drafts and one of the best bottle selections around, this is my default option for craft beer. | 8 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 1/10 SELECTION 1/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 1/20 camelorama (12) , | February 11, 2012 closed - see "The Last Drop" | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 Smurf2055 (24) Seattle, Washington | February 9, 2012| Updated June 11, 2012 Great place. Good selection on tap, pretty good selection of bottles, really friendly staff. Seems like a place I could really get in to. If you are local, it’s a nice place to grab a beer and watch the game. I will be stopping in again from time to time. | 80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 HughConway (18) Washington | March 22, 2011| Updated June 11, 2012 Rating from just after they opened (no taps). Nice selection of bottles, local discount, knowledgeable friendly staff. Solid beer shop, solid people. | 84 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 flyer50 (48) Seattle, Washington | January 3, 2011| Updated January 26, 2011 Just down the street from our gym, so after we workout, we stop by for a pint!
Excellent, knowledgable service from Barry, nice selection. He has Boundry Bay in bottles where Whole Foods doesn’t. Always some new and interesting on tap.
Surprisingly nice ambiance for a beer store. Makes you want to have a seat and enjoy a pint, or sip while you browse the coolers. A more welcoming and sincere place than Bottleworks.
He need better signage to pull in the heavy after work crowd on Lake City Way. It’s an easy place to miss that shouldn’t be missed! | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 CheersMate (147) Fremont (Seattle), Washington | October 10, 2010| Updated February 20, 2011 Not a big establishment. I believe there were 8 taps. Great service. I believe I met the owner, and he was extremely nice. The prices are all fucked up, meaning, price tags don’t match the merchandise, so it’s a bit onerous when trying to figure out how much something costs. The selection doesn’t seem to be ordered in any type of way. Take your time while browsing the shelves, because you may miss something awesome. The selection was decent; I didn’t find anything here that I can’t get somewhere else. This is a great place to chill and take your time while beer shopping. They sell glasses, shirts, and other stuff, too. Overall, it was an interesting place, and I’ll go back. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 OldMrCrow (55) Seattle, Washington | June 8, 2010| Updated February 20, 2011 My fault for missing this place for so long. Really nice local bottle shop, strong on PacNW locals, weak on Belgians. Most of the beers tend to be on the less expensive end of the spectrum, which is quite nice, because it serves as a reminder than one can still pick up some very solid bombers for $4-$6, and one can leave with a mixed case for under $50. That never happens to me at Bottleworks! In addition to the 500 or 600 bottles, they’ve got a nice little bar with a bunch of good taps and inexpensive growler fills. The owner Barry is super-friendly and helpful; stop in and say hi if you haven’t already. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 theisti (352) Leawood, Kansas | May 19, 2010| Updated June 28, 2012 Visited on a Tuesday evening, had a pint and did some bottle shopping. Low frills bottle coolers a couple of bar stools and 2 or 3 tables in the place. Compared to other shops in town, the selection is pretty limite - however there is plenty of good stuff to be found here. Barry was a really nice guy to talk to, and the other folks hanging around the shop really gave it a nice local feel. If you live in the neighborhood, its probably already a regular stop, if you live further away, certainly worth checking out. |
