This bar feels more like a craft beer factory than a craft beer bar. This may be a byproduct of being so close to the United Center. They have nice beer, but itís not all that exciting (at least not often enough to notice). I hate to say it, too, because I know the original intention was not to create a factory. I bet the other location is better.

When there for IPA Day so of course the tap list was awesome with plenty of new IPAís and some old favorites. The service was good even though the place was packed wall to wall for the event. The food was standard basic pub offerings but it worked for me. Got lucky and found a close parking spot but I know that is not always the case in this neighborhood. A short distance from Haymarket which is a plus. I would visit again... would like to catch a Blackhawks game here methinks.

I went in here on a west side bar crawl.
Beer Bistro has an odd mix going on. They are an official blackhawks bar but also try to pose themselves as a craft beer place as well. I have no problem being at a sports bar, but if thatís what youíre gonna be, just be it. The crowd was a mix of young and middle aged people. It was rowdy in a sense, but not in a frat boy way, people were just very happy. I couldnít get a real feel though for what kind of crowd theyíre aiming for.
The beer quality was good and there was a nice selection. A good selection of midwest brews and that was the main focus along with some revolution brews. I know they keg some of their stuff to other places, but itís nice seeing them available at places other than at Rev.
It was never a problem getting a beer. The bartender was always available even with a good sized crowd and a hawks game going.
A solid place to go, but there are lots of options in the west loop and west side in general. If I lived in the area, I could see myself there frequently. Since I donít, itís good for the odd visit.

I checked out this place for Bellís tap takeover so its a bit hard to judge their beers as the only list was all Bellís... cozy place, knowledgeable staff... a bit far from me so I wouldnít go back unless it was an event

A cool dank place with great staff and a nice selection of beers. I do wish they had more locals, but the Bellís Tap Takeover was bitchin....

Great beer list....mediocre food. Sorry to say....but these guys need to step up the food quality. Decent bar food but it could be much much much more....mac and cheese was the quality of one out of a Kraft box...come on!!
On the other hand, beer and service were great...wait staff was both attentive and knowledgeable....you canít say anything bad about anywhere with Sammy Smith Oatmeal Stout and Founderís Porter....oh yea!

Stopped here after FOBAB and one other bar (I know, I know). I donít remember it that well, and I wish I had kept an itemized receipt to know what the hell I had. But I did have a nice time at this bar, which is fairly typical of the city and the West Loop. There isnít anything amazing on the taps from what I remember, but a lot of solid regional taps and a bigger bottle selection that expected. One thing is for sure, I was having a good time here.

Not a horrible place that is walking distance from work. They generally maintain a pretty broad selection on tap, hitting most major styles. They also tend to carry the most recent Brooklyn tap release. Food is meh, but a decent place to hang out and has some pretty awesome old-school ceiling fans run by a pulley system.

Visited on a Saturday around noon, killing time before a wedding. This is a typical Chicago pub, nice long bar with a bunch of space (must get busy). We had a nice table near the front, and the server was very attentive. Nice list of bottled beers, and a solid list of rotating darft beers. I liked the vibe here, and enjoyed my visit. I also had a breakfast pizza off the brunch menu that was pretty great.
76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.
