A very cool place and if a little closer to me I would visit more often. Clean, spaciously laid out place, thatís comfortable to be at. Knowledgable and nice staff. Daily tastings of rare beer, today there was Prince Tuesday, Mo and Coolship Red, really? Thoughtfully chosen selection of beer. Not a liquor with beer, totally beer centered. Not a throw everything against the wall approach either, selections made with thought. At a busy annoying intersection and too expensive by $1-$2 on most items, but Iíd be back every couple months.

Great shop with large thoughtful selection. Freshness is utmost with every beer labeled with brewed on or recevied date. No old IPAs! Chris and crew have a depth of knowledge and can help guide you to new or fresh beers that you may not know about. Overall this is a show that all others should be striving to emulate.

This bottle shop is one of the finest Iíve ever entered. Typically there is something delicious open to sample and the selection is tough to beat. Top it all off with a genuinely caring and informative staff and you have a total winner.

You cannot ask for a better selection of beer or a more friendly and knowledgeable staff. Chris goes out of his way to give his customers the best beer shopping experience in the city. Chris is also extremely generous, sampling beers that are hard to find and not available in our distribution area.

The best selection and nicest, most informative staff you could ask for. The Beer Temple often gets beers that others donít get and more of the ones that you want. Prices are right on par with the big high volume places. Always pouring new, interesting and highly sought after beers gratis. Free parking too!

Great bottle shop, in the top 3 of anyoneís list for Chicago bottle shops. Always parking in back, clean and organized store, and a great selection. They put the style of beer on their shelf tags, so you know what youíre buying when the bottle isnít clear. Pricing is reasonable, and staff is welcoming and helpful. Theyíve always had 2-3 beers to sample when Iíve visited, and usually 1 or more of these beers canít be purchased in the region, so itís something new to try that you may have been wanting to find forever.

Ambience in a bottle shop is a nonfactor to me. The selection and service do matter however... so because I ventured a good 10 miles out of my way to get there (I hate the North Side!), that was my first concern. No worries though, the staff is helpful and laid back and they have some really good stuff. Only downside (aside fighting the traffic on Elston Ave.) is they donít have as much as say Binnyís... but they have stuff that Binnyís doesnít have so they make up point there. Iíll definitely go back.

My favorite shop in the city! I really like the kid that was working there (I think he recently moved). Great selection of American and European beers!

The Beer Temple is an extremely well curated bottle shop with a focus on stocking fresh beer. It is well known that they will not sell beer that is past itsí prime, which is commendable. This justifies the prices of the products offered, given that you know you are getting premium quality. There are not many places in Chicago offering 1 week old Sculpin, for example. The owners are knowledgable and friendly and provide a welcome offering for the neighborhood. My only regret is that I donít live within walking distance, although maybe that is for the best!
