Great bottle selection, decent tap selection. Service was OK, a bit aggressive around peak hours. We could not order beer fast enough for them. Staff knew something basic about the beers. Decent location. Inside is kind of dark, outside tables nice.More or less an average place to go for beer in today’s market.

Went here with some friends after the 2009 Philadelphia marathon. Great neighborhood place with a pretty good selection of Belgian and Belgian style beers. Value for money is pretty good here!

Great beer bar in the Fairmount neighborhood. Always bringing in hard to find and tasty Belgian and Belgian inspired brews as well as top-notch crafts of different styles. Service has always been very good both at the bar and in the dining room. Food is excellent. Can be pricey but I think that is more because of the caliber of the beer and less being overpriced. I won’t say I always stop in here (mainly becuase I’m not the biggest of Belgian beer fans) but I’m always happy when I do.

An out of this world neighborhood bar in Philly! I fell in love w/ my first glance at the beer list. Very affordable prices for some of the greatest beer in the world. Highly recommended.

Heard this place is owned by the same people that own Monks. They did have the monks cantillon gueuze which I had after a long day and night of drinking. Service at the bar was a tad questionable at times and the beer list was far less impressive than Monks or many of the other bars I visited in philly.

Place had the benefit of being only a few blocks away from the RBSG’11 hotel. Only got to stop in once, but it was well worth it. Great bottle selection and decent number of taps, prices were excellent for a bar ($5 pints of chocolate yeti?!). got my fill of Russian river beers which paired nicely with the best veggie burger I’ve ever had. Really tasty fries, great ambience (though I imagine it gets crowded, we came at a good time)... This place is excellent in terms of price and quality, though don’t expect to come here for dozens of new ticks, I suppose.

Nice Belgian bar located conveniently in the Art Museum area of Philadelphia. The bar has nice indoor and outdoor seating and a great feel for the bar section. They usually have over 10 taps of pretty interesting brews that are on a decent rotation. The bottle selection is extensive but nothing insane.

Boy do I love this bar. The selection is incredible. The people are even better. and the food isn’t bad either. I would highly recommend the fries if you are going. they are the best fries I have ever had.

Since April, I’ve been to The Belgian Cafe many times with James (JRedmond) and big Tony (TonyDiUlio). This place is awesome. The bar is incredibly nice, and almost never crowded. Great selection of domestic and imported crafts. Usually about 10-15 different brews on tap, and a huge bottle selection as well. Prices are reasonable for both food and beer, and the staff is filled with genuinely nice, outgoing, friendly bartenders and servers. The laid-back, yet classy atmosphere is hard to match. Outside seating for nice days and nights. Great pommes frites. Fantastic bar. Stop in for a basket of frites and a tall, cold draft.
