Good God... The Beer Stein leaves me in tears every time I leave. I used to think Bottle Works was hands down the best beer store in America. The Beer Stein is definitly giving it a run for its money. I can walk 8 blocks from my house, drink a Giradin Black label, eat authentic German sausages, talk with Chip about the case of Jolly Pumpkin sitting in the back, and buy a bomber of Peche Mortel to cellar. Once again...Good God

Quality spot, 100% about the beer. Massive bottle selection, plus some taps and tables. Nothing to complain about. Open and bright room is perhaps a little atmospherically-challenged but only a little as a place that is so totally about the beer cannot possibly have a bad atmosphere.

Stopped in here for lunch while visiting a friend. Service was friendly and helpful, although they hadnít heard of the Westy. Selection is great, most of the stock was cold, and you could grab one with the meal! Definitely a place to stop if youíre in the area.

This absolutely my home away from home. I frequent this place at least 3 times a week. They have a draft list that is unrivaled. Chip and Christina are great owners and are all about the beer and taking care of their customers. Over 800 bottles at last count.

I love this place. I usually get my beers to go, so havenít sampled many of the foods. I have had the nachoís, which werenít my style, but the fun we had made up for it. If you like beer, this is the place for you. With over 700 beers, how could you go wrong. It does seem like a little hole in the wall until you go inside, then you notice it is bright and airy with big picture windows to just sit and watch the world go by. However, the fun of this place is the way people of every persuasion can get along and talk beer. Loud or soft it just brings everyone together. The folks behind the counter always have a smile on and truely understand if you drool in front of the coolers for long stretches at a time. However, they will be quick to tell you that it is a waste of time to sit and stare, when you could be drinking your next great brew. I gotta agree.
