Right down the street from the horse brass this place has some steep competition. The ambiance is very much local hip bands in the basement with small cliches of people in the upper floor. Not really where you would expect a beer place to be. The selection has a vast selection of imported belgian beers and some nice american brews. Its nice that they serve all their beer in the proper glassware. Not really being a fan of belgians the big highlight here for me was Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA on tap it was really good on tap. Anyway a nice little place that I will visit again but not a replacement to the horse brass.

I walked here on a Sunday evening from Horse Brass. Itís an easy place to miss located in a busy little commercial strip on Belmont. This place is very bright, with lots of windows and sort of a modern/silverish decor. There is a ledge with about 50 Chimay empties as you walk in. There are also bottles on the wall that are for sale. They have 10 taps, with all but 1 being something I can find on the east coast (HOTD Fred). Beer bottle selection was nothing overly special either. I had a caesar wrap, which was probably the smallest "wrap" portion I have ever gotten. It was ok. Service was ok as well. Iím not a jazz fan and there was no jazz being played at the time of my visit. I suppose if you like jazz along with good micros on tap, then this is your place. Personally, I wish I hadnít wasted the energy walking from Horse Brass. There was no smoking while I was there. Bathroom was small and kind of crummy.

A really nice relaxing jazz/blues bar with a friendly staff and good selection. They had about 10 or more brews on tap and a wall of bottles to pick from, including orval, westmalle, some german wheat brews, and some other random stuff. Great place to check out, I hope its always as quiet and relaxed as it was when i was there.

Nice little place. Went there for the Long Haul BW Fest. Served by the owner, who was very knowledgable and friendly. Nice selection of micros and imports on tap, with a huge selection of bottles available also. Served in proper glassware. Live jazz in the downstairs bar. Havenít had the food, but have heard itís very good. Will update soon.
