Typical hinterland pub – the type of place we sought out and called a “tar pit” in my college days. Greasy pub food, rustic surroundings and a tap handle array that, among the Keith’s, Moosehead and Old Vienna tap handles you may find Granville Pale, Steam Whistle or Big Rock Grasshopper on the beer menu slate under a heading of “craft beer”. Nothing bad about the place except this type of mediocrity is all too common in small town pubs.
