Easily the best bottle shop I visited - prices were actually sensible and the selection was impressive. Knowledgeable, friendly staff.

A fairly big more tourist focused place with a fair but mostly unexciting selection of Belgian beers. The kind of stuff you would buy for half the price in the bigger stores like Geers. Not bad if you canít get out to the bigger places.

Good looking place close to the main square. Tourist prices. Could also do with more small Belgian breweries

I didnít go in here on my most recent visit (5th & 6th December 2014) however I have popped in here a few times before out of beer curiosity when wandering down Wollenstraat. It is a long thin shop that opens up a little at the back and despite it being in the heart of tourist central it does an admiral job of having a very decent selection and the prices arenít too bad. I tend to be more of a browser whilst here as usually I have almost always stocked up at Dranken Geers, but I have occasionally picked up a beer that has bypassed me. A good selection of beery merchandise can also be found albeit some tat and service has always been pretty good despite the obvious frustration of having to deal with all manner of people who no doubt pose the most ridiculous question about what they were drinking last night in the vain hope that the staff might be able to point them towards a Leffe (no doubt) sorry I am being mischievous but it is just that I hear these sorts of questions getting thrown at poor staff all the while in some bottle shop it is if the staff are some sort of beery clairvoyant. Unless you wish to venture further afield then this is not a bad place to stop in the centre and whilst the selection wonít have to many surprises there will be a few from the likes of Struisse, Westvleteren etc

Facing the eastern side of the Belfry building, this is a very well kept and laid out bottle shop that extends back into the building it occupies. All the beers are neatly placed on shelves with their various drinking glasses next to them and all areas are designed to showcase the different styles available. Itís a tourist heavy place with the front bottle area getting the busiest with the casual browsers, so youíll end up with a little more room to peruse in the rear area beyond the central till. The selection is extensive and the mark up is not actually as much as you might expect for itís location just off the main square.

Visited on a sunday after finding a closed Bierboom, much to my disappointment. The Bottle Shop is a spacious and neat looking touristy store, not the kind of store for the beer fanatic that likes a chat with the impassioned, geeky owner. Still, I took some classic Gueuzes and a Westie for a reasonable price. For some bottles prices are on the hefty side though, so ícaveat emptorí.

A very nice bottle shop, knowledgeable owner who I chatted to for a while and the lady on the till offered other recommendations based on the styles I was buying (maybe a sales ploy!). I did end up buying the 3 Westy beers from here 10 Euro and 12 for the 12.

Canít complain here as I walked out with a bunch of Westvleteren. Apparently these are shelf beers in Belgium. Anyway c OK selection with some Black Damnation 750s but not much limited stuff. Already out of Cantillon. Tourists Iím sure go nuts for stuff they donít realize they can just get at home. Good service, OK prices. All good beer. Definitely worth a stop in if for nothing else than some Westvleteren variants.

Located in the middle of the busy Wollenstraat in the very heart of the old town, this shop is packed with tourists (most of whom seem just to want to buy "a Belgian beer") and bottles (reasonably arranged according to style). I have no idea where the staff get their patience to deal with this, but they do :-) Not particularly cheap but well-assorted. Could be back again.
