92 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 andyinz (9) redlands , California | March 21, 2011 One of my favorite brewries to visit. The beer is outstanding and the vibe is great. Big tasting room with losts of seating. Food is hit or miss because of the food trucks again. But like i said earlier i go there for the awesome beer. | 92 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 20/20 djenkin (17) | September 12, 2010 A most welcoming brewery, er Bruery. Staff is fantastic, the beers are to die for and the the vibe is unsurpassed. Drive there! It’s worth it. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 19/20 womencantsail (390) Garbage Grove, California | March 27, 2011 Been here tons of times now. The bar is located right in the center of the tasting room and right next to the equipment. A great deal of the space these days is full of barrels, so the room to stand and hang out has been diminished a bit.
The service is always quick and friendly, and the bartenders are knowledgeable and willing to help customers.
Like most breweries some of the beers I really enjoy, others not so much, but that’s to be expected.
No food is served in the tasting room, but there is almost always a food truck outside for your convenience.
Prices are fair, though like most things Bruery, are a little on the high side. But if there are more than one or two beers you want to try, the flight is a great deal. For $8 you get to keep your Bruery tulip and I think you get 4 or 5 samples. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 18/20 WeeHeavySD (111) San Diego (Hillcrest), California | December 27, 2008| Updated March 14, 2009 Fantastic fun place. Finally got my ass over there today with my girlfriend Cyn and her brother Stuart. Great vibe in the brewery, the space is set up with bottle storage on one side and barrels and brewing equipment on the other with a tasting space in the middle. Saw Patrick around but didnt get to chat, it was relatively lively for the day after Christmas. Nice to have Pretzels and spicy mustard free with samples. Though I question the super spicy mustard with keeping the palate fresh. Prices are very reasonable including the $2 for 4 flights. I only have one complaint, there appears to be a limited number of beers available for growler fills, despite there being more beers on tap. Overall great place look forward to going back. Well worth the round trip hour and 20 minute drive from San Pedro. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 BMan1113VR (306) Los Angeles, California | November 28, 2008| Updated March 14, 2009 This place is a must stop at! Partick and his wife are greats hosts, and Patrick is an awesome brewer and a great guy! Small brewery (bruery), it looks like they will out grow it soon. A couple fermenters and tons of used and new barrels aging (at least 30). Small tasting bar. It is hard to believe these guys have only been in business for a short while. Patrick gave myself and my two friends a brief and personalized 1 on 1 tour. Great guy, I wish him all the best. The brews on tap and bottle were amazing. Free cheese and pretzeles to go with. Everyone there were kind and attentive. Even got a couple bottles that Patrick had reserved for his father (i.e. no longer for sale). Great expirience, I plan on comming back often. By far the best brewery in the Los Angeles Area, and easily a great So Cal brewery to rival the talents of Alesmith and PP/LA!! | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 SamGamgee (182) down the whirlpool, California | May 26, 2009| Updated March 14, 2009 I was able to make it down for The Bruery’s anniversary party a week and a half ago. Just an amazing experience. The people at the brewery were great and welcoming and the atmosphere was awesome for a brewery celebration. I know that the selection was bigger for the party, but they probably had 20 or 21 beers on, which is phenomenal considering they have only been brewing for a year, and I know of at least a few beers that they did last year that weren’t even there. The best part is that every beer is at least solid, with the best of them being standouts in their styles. Whatever these guys have been doing in the last year, they have done it right, and I look forward to the next time I can visit and see what their new creations are. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 mikem409 (161) bloomfield, Michigan | March 14, 2013| Updated March 14, 2009 Finally made it here. Massive selection with solid price. Very extensive sampler selection | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 BeerandBlues2 (458) Hanover, Maryland | April 6, 2013| Updated March 14, 2009 A great place to grab some fine brews. The staff is super nice and provide prompt service. The place was bustling on my Thursday night visit. | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 anders37 (6) Malmö, Sweden | April 8, 2013| Updated March 14, 2009 Nice and fresh and good looking taproom. With 40 taps there is a beer for everyone and for us that wanna try all the beers the have flights. A place to visit when you are in the area. | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 bytemesis (214) Sunnyvale, California | April 19, 2013 Stopped by about 9PM with my father in law. The place was a bit hard to find at first, then it became obvious due to the full parking lot and loud conversation. There were about 30 people there on a weekday evening, playing cards, having fun, etc. Overall i enjoyed the experience - they had about 24 beers on tap, including a bunch of tasting room only beers. Decent bottle selection to go as well, including Melange #3. Service was good as well, and prices were extremely reasonable. The primary annoying thing was the fact that they had three taps and several bottles that were "reserve society only" on the menu. Kind of sucks to see a really interesting beer on the list and know that you don’t have the "status" to order it. |
