Great place in NE Minneapolis! Big open room with a wrap around bar. Killer beer selection with proper glassware for everything. Food was also good. Service started out great but slowed a bit afterward. Still, a memorable experience.
A local chain that is a pretty standard bar with a decent selection. Right in the St. Anthony neighborhood with some sidewalk patio seating and a pretty standard feel inside and a central bar. Service was a bit slow and not particularly beer oriented. Selection almost seemed to be more Belgian focused that locals which was a bit disappointing. Food was decent and prices were alright. There a few better places with in the immediate area.

Part of a local chain of Gastropubs. The place is long and narrow with a central bar. Most people seemed to be there for brunch and the Gophers game on TV. The beer list seemed to have a Belgian focus with a few locals thrown in. I had an expensive pour of Cuvee Dry Hopping then went on to my next spot. Overall, not a beer destination, but it felt like a decent hangout spot.
Decent place, seems to be a little bit larger than the Lowertown location. It has a bar area and dinning area that are separated by a short hallway and the bathrooms. The food menu is a little more upscale than the Lowertown location as well with all the burgers being the gourmet style. I am not a huge fan of those but everyone else I was with raved about them. The beer list is very good. Service was fast, friendly, and helpful with any questions we had. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.
This location is nearly always frantically busy at night and because of the long, island layout of the bar, it can be very uncomfortable with patrons constantly crowding around. The beer list is very solid, but the "focus" on craft beer that the bulldog used to maintain is now mostly limited to the uptown location as the company has expanded. Here, the main draw is top shelf bar food, with excellent vegetarian options (any burger can be prepared veggie). There is probably no reason for non-locals to visit for the purpose of beer hunting.
Service wasn’t all that attentive and certainly not as friendly and helpful as some other Minneapolis places. Selection is not bad, but again there are better places in the Twin Cities. Wouldn’t go out of my way, but certainly wouldn’t complain about going here, either.

I prefer the Uptown location as this place is always too crowded. With that said the beer selection is alright, their menu doesn’t always indicate what they have at the time. Staff isn’t very knowledgeable, but they do have good food.
Bar with really good burgers. Around 24 beers on tap, beer selection is pretty nice. I wouldn’t consider this a beer destination, but this is a great place to start the night with a great burger and a beer.
