Really nice location right by the river with plenty of outdoor tables and space. Indoors is cozy too, including a huge enclosed porch. Service is excellent, very welcoming. A plethora of games and spacious tables invites you to linger, which we did. Beer selection was good, and bourbon selection was excellent. Weíre returning tonight.

As a beer destination itís pretty solid. They 18-20 crafts mostly local with a few surprises thrown in. As a hangout itís totally awesome. They have a really cool bar area, an enclosed patio with live music, and an outdoor area with all sets of activities plus the vibe of being next to a river. Many towns in America could have places this cool but most donít for some Reason. Of course it serves liquor which means in this state you need a membership which, I think, costs something like $90,000 every 12 minutes. I really enjoyed my time here. I canít wait to go back.

I think the last reviewer summed it up pretty well. They have 18 taps of mainly regional craft with some rarer national craft offerings (Iím looking at you Bells Sparkling). Tuesday is open mic night, but if you arenít into that, the music in the bar area drowns out the performances on the enclosed porch, which could be good or bad depending on who is performing. They donít have food, so are forced to offer a membership, per NC law, but the fee was minimal ($5). Clearly a local hangout with a great vibe once the locals warm up to you. Just start talking about your love of craft beer and youíll fit right in.

Couldnít believe this place wasnít in here (locals probably donít want anyone to know about it) Probably my favorite bar in town. Small bar with a huge outside area that runs along the French Broad. They have a bunch of grills and you can bring coolers in to cook food. Disc golf basket, cornhole, horse shoes... can bring your dog. Great place. They have a good selection of beers and always some locals, but the vibe is what itís all about. Small fee to join club since they serve liquor, check website.
