86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 GMCC2181 (66) Newark , Delaware | May 11, 2013 Came here on a busy friday night for a Hill farmstead tap take over... Obviously crowed but they did a good job with crowd control. I didnt even look at what they have in bottles or what was on draft besides hill farmstead beers so I cant comment to much on their selection. But the Hill farmstead beers were great! Server (monica) was great even though she was busy. I had their burger... I was surprised how good it was, considering I was expecting pub style food. Large open windows up front, decent amount of tables and nice size patio out back. Clean place with a nice bathroom, no complaints here. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Capa (248) Manama, Bahrain | January 28, 2013 Mid-size establishment with comfortable, modern, light industrial feel. Tap list was extensive and with many styles available. Some beers come in 12oz and some 16 oz but the bar decides the size. I had a couple Alesmith X while I was there. Had the burger, which was very nice and so are the fries. Service was very good for a busy Saturday night. I could see coming back and having a few pints. Really enjoyable place. | 96 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 keepersj12 (62) Sicklerville, New Jersey | August 2, 2012 This is the top of my list of places and this was rated on the opening night. A few opening night jitters are excused for this new place on South St. in Philly. The tap list is fantastic with local beers sharing space with rare and more obscure selections and enough room for a Genny Cream Ale. After a little wait the food came out hot and perfectly done, mostly bar type food, fish and chips are outstanding along with a few specials. Wine and cocktails are available in a nice old looking space. There is a patio but it was raining when we stopped. From the owners of Hawthornes a few blocks away, this is a must in an up and coming neighborhood. |
