10/28/12. I stopped by Casbah to check out the restaurant and hookah aspect, and they really do have a decent beer selection. Itís a neat little place, a bit cramped, with plenty of outside seating that is more spacious.

Our waiter definitely left something to be desired. Our service was spotty and here and there. The hookah lady kept our coals going good, but our actual waiter seemed to come and go. There were several times our drinks sat empty.

The beer selection is pretty solid. Cigar City, random taps, local beers from Bold City and Intuition on tap and in bottles/cans, and more. Like GT2 said below, itís a great place to hang with friends that arenít that into beer because you can still get some pretty good stuff.

We didnít try the food. As for value, I thought the bottled beers were really reasonably priced for a restaurant/bar scenario, especially in Jacksonville. $3.50 for Daleís Pale Ale, etc. really isnít bad. Also, where else are you going to get beer from Lebanon?

Overall, this is a cool place and a stop to remember if you are with non-beer friends, want a hookah, or food. Itís not a "must see" in Jacksonville, but a worthwhile stop.

Very fun night spot in Avondale area if you are already in the area for Grassroots, Beer:30, Kickbacks, Intuition, European St Cafe, Bold City, etc. Stays open very late, usually past 2am even though that is the official close time. Mostly known for hookahs and very good middle eastern food. But they have a good craft beer list. One of the few places to find Lebanese and Turkish beers in the area. Plus they carry local Jacksonville beers on tap and have some Cigar City beers in bottles. Otherwise a B level craft beer list. But a good place to have fun, not alienate non beer nerd friends, and have a hookah and relax on the outdoor patio.
