I usually keep away from anything advertising itself as an Irish pub. Just because you serve Guinness and paint shamrocks on the door and have coasters with SlŠinte printed on them does not make you an Irish pub. Does it Bennigans? However, when my good friend (who is Irish, like born and raised Irish) asked me to meet him there I thought I should give the Celtic Ray a chance and I am glad I did. With all of the laughter and friendliness of a traditional Irish pub this place is a great place to enjoy beer and friends. Though not a huge selection of beer they have everything an Irish pub should. Definitely a place to check out!

Recently found this place after moving to the area. The atmosphere is really nice. I always enjoy a dark drinking establishment instead of having lights blasting in my face. I enjoyed the Irish decorations, and the comfortable surroundings. They do not have an extensive selection of beers, but what they do have is worthy of my time and money. The bartender was very knowledgeable, and turned me on to a couple of good beers I hadnít tasted before. I was somewhat disappointed in what I ordered, the fish and chips. Tasted frozen. Maybe Iím wrong, but doubt it. But I havenít tried any of their other food yet, so who knows. I will return, when Iím looking for a relaxing comfortable place to cool off and have a nice beer with friendly people, and providing that more than makes up for some frozen fish.
