By far the best beer store in Charleston. Awesome staff, super friendly & knowledgeable. Amazing American & European bottle selection, plus growler fills. Rare beer Tuesdays and often special casks on the weekends.

Wow. Lots of beers you wonít find anywhere else in SC, nice staff, and a growler station (w/ "rare beer Thursday" selections). A whole lot of very good beer is a very small place. Kinda pricey, though.

These guys make the most out of their small space. Tons of beer is in here, easily the best selection in the entire state. The rare keg Tuesday and Thursday is usually something very desirable from what Iíve seen on their website. We were lucky enough to pick up a growler of El Camino Unreal Ale. Mini kegs, pony kegs, basically anything in the entire store is for sale. I would personally have liked to have seen some more American micros, but that is just my personal tastes. For those who prefer Scandinavian or Belgian beer this place delivers big time. There were several imports available that I had never even seen before in person. Every beer is available as a single. Honestly, I donít know what these guys can possibly do different to make this store better.

Good selection...not the best but decent. (Okay it is the best in Charleston). I think this will improve as more brewers ship to South Carolina. Cost is a little steep but it is downtown Charleston. Again, decent selection, especially for such a small store. I do like the fact that they have growlers.

If you live or visit Charleston then there is no other place to buy beer. These guys do it right. The store is in the historic district downtown so the prices can be a little higher but that is completely negated by the service, staff knowledge, and overall selection.

Downtown Charlestonís beer hotspot. Small and effective packed full of great/rare/hard-to-find beer! If youíre making a trip to Charleston - youíve got to stop by this place! I stopped in with my wife and spent a small fortune on a good amount of beer! Reasonably priced product, knowledgeable, friendly staff and all the beers I want to drink!

What can I say that hasnít been said? These guys just íget ití! Floor to ceiling, all wall, wood shelf bottle selection. Growlers (Coast!) A little cramped, esp. w/ crowds; but thatís 1/2 its character. Plenty of rare shit. Iís fucks w/ CBX!

Major contributor to the craft beer movement in Charleston - good friends with COAST brewery - COAST usually releases their brews at CBX. Great place to find 4+ COAST beers on tap in Charleston at all times. Always something cool and rare/hard-to-find. They have some 23 different kinds of Mikkeller beer. Insane selection and use of small space. Great place to be in close quarters with some of the beer worlds big names. Greg Koch, Sam Calagione, Steve Hindy, etc. They constantly update their tap offerings on twitter and they are open Sunday! Scott and Rich who run the place are huge beer geeks. They have some great connections to getting some kick ass brews at a reasonable price. Iím like a kid in a candy store when Iím there. A must for Charleston travelers.

I was in town on vacation and of course I did some research to find out where I could get my hands on some good beer. This place seemed to be the obvious choice according to the reviews.

Itís tucked away in a small alley in historical downtown Charleston. Inside itís well kept, clean, and organized. They had some good beers on tap for growler fills. The selection isnít the largest youíll ever see, but they sure as hell make up for it with quality. My only complaint is that it can get pretty damn cramped if more than a few customers wander in at once. But they do a good job making use of their limited space. I found some beers there that Iíve been wanting to try, including some of the Terrapin brews. You must check this place out if you are in town.
