Visited after work on a Thursday. Easy to find in a sort of light industrial area stuck in the middle of a neighborhood. I was able to find street parking, and there appeared to be a connected lot. The layout is a large patio area upfront, covered seating in a variety comfortable beer garden, with a fairly small tasting room with 15 seats along a long bar and long picnic table facing the bar. Beer and food ordering is done at the bar, and as others have noted this is Cash only. Beer selection during my visit was 12 beers on draft and 1 cask. Available as Imperial Pint, Imperial Half Pint or gorwler. Very much focused on British and generally sessionable sytles. Food selection is sandwiches and lighter snacks. Service was friendly and efficient service. Very laid back and happy crowd. Both the sandwich and Mild I had were excellent. I really enjoyed this place, and imagine and would be a fantastic local to have near by.
82 = ★★★Ĺ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.
I love this place. Amazing ambiance. Nice predictable (and generally average) beers. Never a bad beer. Games to play, book to read. Very enjoyable vibe. Not sure I could picture a better brewpub (not including food).
NOTE: CASH ONLY. Narrow space with a rustic ambiance. Plenty of polished wood, beer-related bric a brac etc. Thereís a slate inlay along the barmanís side of the bartop that the staff use to keep track of your tab with chalk, which is something I havenít seen before. This place seems to specialize in English and German style session beers. There were 10-12 on tap, most in the 4% range. It was a pretty refreshing change of pace, different than what most other places in the area seem to be doing. Unfortunately, half pint pours are the smallest serving size available, so itís hard to tour the tap list. I settled on drinking their Ruby Mild and Northern English Brown. Both were solid, but itís very strange drinking these styles on keg when Iím so used to cask from my years in England. If these guys are so intent on recreating English styles, why donít they put a few more cask lines on their bar and really go for it? Otherwise, the value was great, as was the service. Worth a stop.
A German bierhall feeling tasting room with dark wood accents and a focus on German and English styles. The bartender was knowledgeable about the beer. A good number of taps were available and both half and full pours were available. No food available but prices were probably the best during my visit. A refreshing change from the usual high alcohol beers.
Really cool brewery/bar. They have a small patio/beer garden out front, sort of a cramped long bar area in the main room, and some additional seating in a small balcony. It was a bit tight for a group full of fat beer losers, but it worked out.
Lots of beers on tap, most of which are English in influence, but a couple German styles as well. For the most part, well done and drinkable beers. I guess their not things for most people to get excited about, but this would a great place to just sit and drink some beers.
They do halves and fulls, all at reasonable prices. Only bummer here: CASH ONLY.
Visited during RBSG bus tour. Cool ambiance, inside. A little cramped for our large group perhaps, but otherwise nice. Bartenders provided excellent service and had great hair / mustaches. Like gendv138 said, seems like they are trying to cultivate an old-timey vibe, and they seem to pull it off. The whole concept of the place is cool, too: session strength ales, most of which seemed to have a mild English influence. Thatís a cool, unique concept. Fun place to visit.

Visited on the RBSG 2014 bus tour. Kind of has an old timey vibe. Nice long bar and a long seated table. Good beers, didnít pay much attention to the prices since I just stuck to what they were giving out. Seemed like reasonable beer prices. Nice space, good spot to check out in St. Louis.
A great English style brewpub with a second balcony floor and huge outdoor space. Service was decent and they have a large selection of their own beers. Beer prices are well priced and the traditional English ales are up to par. A great local.
