The Cock & Bull is what a tru pub should feel like. Everything about this place oozes beer. As soon as you walkin the heavy entrance door you see the coolers lining the back of the hand crafted bar. Look up and to the right and you will see the draft beer menu. With roughly 38 on draft and about 300 bottles on hand you will find something you like. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to make suggestions if you are un sure. The bull is a Non smoking establishment so for those who do and those who do not there is a huge back lot with a fire pit and 2 stages for local bands. I would highly recommend that if you are even close check this place out you will not be dissapointed.

Has the perfect feel for a great beer bar. The outside is old and somewhat haggard, but inside is true beauty. Great bottles and great drafts. The back yard makes you feel like your on someones back porch. Prices may be a little high on some beers, but there are some great specials on great beers as well.

Been visiting for awhile, but hadnít thought to share. Often out of food and stop serving it if they get to busy = but beer cheese soup is the best Iíve ever had and brat & pretzel makes a great meal! Have a fabulous selection of hard to find stuff! There 500 plus beers donít include AB or any of the other big boys (and the lite, ice, low carb versions thereof). They know everything there is to know about what they serve - in the right glass to boot. Quiet during the week which is much prefered. Travis is attentive and knowledgable and Howey comes it to bat clean up late nights. There is alwasy something special to share with one of their beer club geeks.

When Brooklyn Brewmaster Garrett Oliver came to Florida last month he had just one stop on his agenda....Sarasotaís Cock & Bull Pub. Listed as the #6 Beerbar in the Country, its no surprise that this was the perfect venue for his latest of beer dinners. A six course meal each paired with a Brooklyn beer on tap, sold out in just 4 days. This is hands down the finest place to quaff some Bklyín or any of the 630 offerings . A thousand thank youís to the C & B for taking a crazy gamble 11 years ago!!

There is no guessing there were renovations as there are 30 drafts and 8 doors full of bottled beer. These are oversized doors 7 shelves in each. Bombers, 750s, regular bottles, sakes, ciders, and more than I can remember. The bar is smooth slabs of aged oak, there is a beautiful polished tree between the bar and the cash register. A glass rinser for pre-Belgian pours,. cooper drip trays, and organized beer selection make this the best bar Iíve ever visited. You must check this place out. Iíll be back in November and Iíve been told to call ahead to get my holiday order reserved. Looking forward to perusing the vintage beer menu that was only half done while I was in town.

Fantastic little pub in industrial area. Dark wood and comfy seats abound. Cool beer knick knacks all over. Pool table, darts, and a hockey game. Three times I went to the bar I was helped by a different, knowledeable person. I didnít have to repeat my likes, they appeared to have discussed me. I had Post Road Pumpkin draft and Paulaner Salvator followed by a bottle of Rochefort 8. Had a plain cheese pizza that was excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Fantastic! This old barn is rustic and charming. Breakout rooms with comfy chairs and couches are great places to do people watching. Displayed beers number about 300 with no big brews. Draft selction is INCREDIBLE. Fat Dog, Hop Heaven, Gonzo, Grimbergen, Robertus, and about 15 more. Service and knowledge is unbeatable. We ate a Greek Pizza and drank Rose de Gambrinus. This place was worth driving to Sarasota for. Ask for Howie or Dawn and youíll get treated to the best beer experience youíve ever had.

This place used to have a real dive-bar feel (which isnít a bad thing, necessarily), but they renovated and now itís all hard wood. Thereís a fire pit out back for the winter, and indoor chairs, stools, and couches. Plenty of space along with a pool table and a projector for movies. Overall, a really unique and great layout. Service is great, with a knowledgeable staff. Howie, the owner, is especially awesome. I believe they boast a selection of around 500 beers, but to be realistic, at any given time they are out of 100 of those. Beer distributors can be shifty sometimes. Still, their selection is the best in Florida, to my knowledge. Their food has only a few possibilities, but their beer brauts are divine. Get one with spicy mustard and some sauerkraut and you are good to go! Prices are about average to the other bars in the state. Overall, itís a great spot. Check it out if you live in central florida or are visiting!

What an awesome place. Very inspiring. Owners Howie and Dawn are 2 of the nicest people you could meet and extremely knowledgable! Canít wait till me next visit well worth the drive from Orlando. The beer selection is great, cask condition beers, and a special Rogue beer. And proper glass wear. Oh and make sure you get a pretzel with beer cheese dip!

This place is nearly everything I want in a bar. Awesome atmosphere. Itís divey but nice. Howie that owns the place is a class act. Super nice guy and knows his stuff. The selection is ridiculously good. I love the layout in the coolers for the bottles. It shows you what they have and their prices so there is no guessing or having to ask. Now the prices is the only slight issue. Some of the bottles are pretty expensive, even for a bar. But the draft prices are all on point. I love this place. I just with it were closer to home.
