A nice little bar on Hamilton Avenue. A welcome surprise to say the least. I love the mix of culture at night here. The bar has a kick ass selection and don’t even get me started on how good the burritos are. Try the sauce of the month!

second visit here and both experiences were completely different (one night was bluegrass-themed and last night was teenage indie rock-themed). Ambiance varies and I like that about a place. Service was nice but understaffed. There were many beers to choose from but didn’t satisfy. I haven’t eaten there, but everyone says their burritos are great. Value was decent, but I did drop $43 on three beers including tips, granted they were big bottles. I would go again only if there is a band I would like to see.

The place has good beer from time to time, but it’s not somewhere I frequent. If you’re not a hipster, service isn’t great. Nor is the company for that matter...

I didn’t eat when I was there, I came for the bluegrass, I stayed for the amazing beer selection. Great place!

I have been here before, but it was a long time ago. Just to give you a heads up, the food is Mexican and the menu is small, but the food is great. Staff is somewhat knowledgable. Great selection, but a little too pricey on bottle selection.

Interesting place with an equally interesting mix of people. The beer selection is usually strong and they will get in special kegs from time to time. The burritos are some of the best around, but I really only stop by when they get something worth trying. Last week it was Black Biscuit.

No reason to say much here. Great selection of bottles with a kitchen serving up a great burrito. Great place overall.

Thanks Phaleslu for taking me here! stone sublimely self righteous, cali belgique, ruination, summit porter, and a couple other things i don’t remember on tap. 4 or so big coolers filled with bottles. Drunk food all in one place with burittos, quesidillas, chips, etc available. Food was good. Neighborhood whole in the wall place that had some juke box music playing but was quiet enough to chat. Enjoyed my time here! nick (rapebeer) blacked out and doesn’t remember anything after his first 10 minutes at comet when He played the same black flag song 3 times.

Although the comet isn’t the very best when it comes to beer selection, it is definitely one of the top spots to hang out and drink great brews. Taps are limited (6?), but they have a respectable bottle selection in the coolers. I noticed a few rarities like Brooklyn’s Black Ops and Southern Tier’s Choklat. Bottle prices seemed a little pricey ($25 for the Black Ops!?), but the draft beers and the food are very reasonable. The burritos and quesadillas are excellent. Taps included Avery, Brooklyn, Great Lakes, Green Flash, and Guinness. A pool table, vintage photo booth, awesome jukebox, and the eccentric live bands keep things interesting at the Comet. A truly unique experience.

Not many taps, but there are normally a few top-notch choices. Excellent bottle selection, and normally can find things that aren’t elsewhere in Cincinnati, with a lot of Belgians and other great American microbrews- Stone, Bell’s, Green Flash, etc. They also tend to have Barrell House more frequently than the other local bars. The bartenders know their stuff whether beer or mixed drinks. Low-key, unpretentious, but hip atmosphere and good mix of people. I’ve been there with and without live music, and it’s a good atmosphere either way. The burritos and other food is surprisingly great. A little up the road from the main drag in Northside, and well worth the extra half mile.
