In town visiting friends this last February, and this place (which I have been wanting to visit since it opened) is just down the street from their new house. Hurray for me! Stopped in the first night to grab a growler of something. They had about 10 taps for growler fills (no consumption on premise), all of which were standout beers. We grabbed a growler of Avery Maharajah. A guy and a girl were working at the time. Both were friendly, but not overly helpful. Great selection of bottles here. The Belgian section was what first stood out to me. Those arenít usually my ícup of beer,í but I was impressed with what was available. Great to see a lot of different breweries represented than I canít find in the Northern Carolina. Prices were decent. And the vibe/presentation was very cool. I will definitely be back to this place when we visit again. [Side note, if you are visiting and find yourself at this store, make your way across the street to Henryís Smokehouse for some BBQ. You will not regret it.]

Swung by this place on a roadtrip a while back, and was very glad to have made the stop. Tucked away just a few minutes off of 85, itís located in a quaint looking part of town. Dark wood decor, a bit of breweriana, and a cramped space well organized and well stocked. Righteously friendly staff, and I very much enjoyed my chat over the 15 minutes or so that I was there. Picked up a few nice bottles (like the Westbrook Farmhouse IPA) and sampled a thing or two on tap. If Iím ever in Greenville again (or on my way to Atlanta) Iíll gladly stop in.

I really love this place. Itís small but has a good selection, with staff that remembers your name if you are a regular. They really know their products. They have really wonderful and inexpensive tastings for beer and wine and a well selected growler station. It doesnít hurt that itís two minutes from my house, and I find that their prices are comparable (and sometimes cheaper) than grocery stores that carry the same thing.

This place is awesome and it is so good to see a real beer store in Greenville. I was reminded of The Beer Growler in Athens which I visited the day before. The Community Tap is also a sparse, efficient dedicated beer store though they had a bit more interesting of a selection. Some rarities from Thomas Creek, Mikkeller and miscellaneous good Belgian breweries spice up the options, but there arenít so many beers that itís overwhelming or rotation of stock appears to be an issue. There are actually 9 taps including one of their own beers, an IPA, which is brewed specifically for them by Thomas Creek and tastes really good. Prices on most things are right in line for the SC market, i.e. cheaper than Iím used to paying in TN or NC. The Community Tap is one of the more excellent beer stores I have visited in a while.

A nice selection of beers for growlers and a store reminescent of Bruisiní Ales in the quality over quantity presentation. Prices were alright and the help was friendly.

Awesome store. Bottle selection makes it obvious Mike & Ed know what theyíre doing, and growlers of rare kegs to boot. Just a cool place to browse and buy beer (or wine.)

Great new store. Pretty small, but clearly quality over quantity. Several tap selections for growlers, and some stuff you donít find elsewhere. Most is kept warm, a little is kept cold. Very helpful staff.

Finally a real beer store comes to Greenville. Mike and Ed seem to me to be extremely passionate about beer and wine. These guys are serious about this store and are the only guys who know how to properly fill a growler in the upstate. I am very excited to see where they take this in the future. Locally owned and operated.

Got to drop in to see Mike and Ed this afternoon. The store is quite easy to spot from the street with their sign above the door. Walked into a atmosphere and layout similar to CBX but a little more open. Wine was in racks in the center of the store with a shelf lining each wall holding brews. There was also a small chiller that housed some brews. In the back it is setup like a bar with 6 stations for growler fills. Very hard to go wrong here as the bottle selection was quite nice and so were the growler choices at the time. Mike and Ed are awesome guys and love to talk beer and wine, so feel free to hang around and chat. I will definitely be going back to stock up again in the near future.
