Stumbled in here by accident and were definitely not disappointed. From the outside it looked just like any other pub or bar, but when we entered and saw the rows of coolers filled with beer we just knew we would spend some time here. You can buy beers to enjoy on the premise, or singles and six-packs to go. The serve food and appropriate snack as well. Didnít try any as we just ate at Monkís, but it looked quite decent. Not the cheapest place if you judge it as a beer store, even though thereís discount on six-packs to go, but itís not bad judging it as a pub. Would definitely go back if I go to Philly again, and as it was located just around 100 meters from our hotel it was very convenient.

Iím from Quebec, Canada and went there during my trip to Philly almost 2 weeks ago. In all honesty the one and only reason why I was going there was to score a Firestone Walker Parabola, albeit at an outrageously inflated price (10-12$ more than what it was sold for online, for example). I know that theyíre becoming rare at this time of the year, so I donít know if they purposely raised the price. But still, talking about theyíre expensive. A good 2-3$ more on small bottles, and 5-8$ more on bombers or 16.9oz compared to places upstate NY, for example. I limited my choice to stuff I knew I may not get anywhere else. Prices for local PA brews were normal though (ie: Terrapin). Service was nice, someone brought me a 6-pack box when they noticed I was becoming a bit overburdened and looked like I was needing a third hand...! Selection was ok to good, with a good number of imports, local selection + widely distributed micros. Nothing out of the ordinary though. I didnít eat there but the sandwiches they have on menu surely looked great! I donít think I would go back. If youíre in the Philly area, youíre better off driving to Southampton and go to The Beer Store, where selection is outta this world and they have slightly better prices.

Small, quaint, and quirky bottleshop and sandwich shop. I will have to go back and try the food, then post an update. Great selection of bottles, some six packs, and discounts for buying more than 6. Prices are okay for the city, though you could certainly do better shopping around. But still, on your lunch break a great place to pick up a good beer.
