Just like the Wellington in Birmingham, this is run by Black Country Ales, and it is plain to see the ways in which they are trying to reproduce that success story, e.g. (the Welly’s beer board idea has also popped up here, with beers listed by colour). The range of beers features local micros and a couple of ciders, and on the whole it is hard to pick fault with what this pub is doing. Not the friendliest place in the world, but the pub is a nice old place (a former court house would you believe). Well worth a visit - has the chance to do some great things.
