(Visited 01/2013): The Distillery is located in downtown Savannah a few blocks from the river on West Liberty. There is street parking in the surrounding area and a lot by the building.

The interior features a long bar along the left and table seating in the remainder of the space. Pretty brick and chalkboard art above the entrance (including notes like "No Crap. Just Craft"). The Three Stooges were playing on the TVs in the bar.

The Distillery has 21 beers on tap from breweries like Coastal Empire, Red Brick, Oskar Blues, Uinta and New Belgium. At least 50 in bottles from brewers like Cigar City, Clown Shoes, Bruery, Terrapin and Sweetwater.

Service at the bar on a relatively slow weekday afternoon was great. The bartender clearly knew his beers and was very particular on serving them correctly.

We did not have any food on our visit.

All in all this is a great beer bar to visit in Savannah.

Pretty standard American pub. The staff isn’t very inviting and although I didn’t think it was all that stellar, the beer selection was among the best I found in Savannah. The food was OK, but not enough to make yearn for more.

Casual- lots of wood and a quasi-western theme. A little noisy- but that’s ok on a Friday night. Tasty junk food (mmm... bologna burger). Friendly and seemingly knowledgeable service. Twenty-one taps of a variety of craft and even more in the bottles. Prices average for beer- but they do have a "cheap eats" food menu.

Great beer bar in Savannah. Excellent location with a beautiful wood bar set-up. Had a Three Stooges movie playing while I was there. About twenty taps and a hundred bottles. Good to great selection. Staff was busy, but worked well and didn’t leave you sitting empty. A little pricey, but not too bad. Good place!

First time in the Distillery, have been to Savannah many times, but just never made it. They had KBS on draught which was what drew me in there, great selection on tap and cellared. Food looked excellent although I didn’t eat. Definately a must stop when in town!

Small place, brick walls. Resembles the Brickstore Pub. Best tap selection I’ve found in Savannah so far. Great classic music. Lost Abbey Deliverance on tap, do I need to I say more? (111)

Probably one of the Top 2 places in Savannah as far as selection goes, if not the best. Around twenty taps with 4 or so local beers. Located about a block from one of the main trolley stops. Our bartender was friendly and knew his stuff and was more than happy to chat about the local breweries and everything they had on tap. Great place.

Rustic look in an historic building... Great beer bar - staff is pretty well versed in beer. Love the tap rotation. The only true beer bar in Savannah proper. Food was pretty solid pub grub - kids loved the deep fried Moon Pie. Definitely worth a visit.

Was in here a couple of times over my sisters wedding weekend. Solid, apparetly constantly rotating taplist. Really, really well thought-out bottle list. They had just changed over to the mid-fall selection when I was there, so heavy on Oktoberfest and Pumpkin beers @ the time. Best selection and most craft-friendly place in town, which is welcome for generally craft-starved Savannah bars. That’s even better given it’s location immediately adjacent to the tourist/trolley center. As others have noted, it is abnormally loud with even a moderate crowd. I’ll definitely visit again.

I stopped by this place twice while in Savannah. Both times the staff were extremely helpful in picking out beers and making recommendations. They also gave some helpful ideas on where else I should check out in the area. The selection is pretty diverse and they have a very nice selection of bottles in addition to their taps. I would say this is the best place to grab a beer in Savannah.
