70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20 Sammy (474) Toronto, Ontario | December 5, 2011 An up and coming place. 14 taps, with a couple of them newer rarer items. Not so many bottles, but also a couple that were thought out and from the better selection about Brooklyn. A good place for drinks, fairly full on a Saturday night at 8 pm, many people eating. Service was good and it was friendly despite the obstacles, though I would not ask them about the beers. Loud but not ear shattering. Frindly, recent college graduate crowd. No room at the bar. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 jtclockwork (28) , New Jersey | October 26, 2011 Nice little bar in Brooklyn. Small bottle and tap selection but everything is high end craft, including a couple I haven’t seen before. Nice atmosphere. The food looked good, but we didn’t get a chance to eat here. | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 TeamTrappist (21) jericho, New York | May 9, 2011 I was working nearby and this came highly recommended. Fairly open and imviting room with warm wood tables of varying sizes. Maybe 10 taps, but all nice selections with decent pricing that ranged from $5-$8. Nice and friendly staff, and crowd. A comfortable neighborhood bar. I really liked the food that i had on both visits, delicious burger, and a solid and flavorful pulled pork sandwich. Overall a great neighborhood bar a style of which I wish was in my neighborhood. Im told it gets pretty busy Friday and Saturday nights with some cuties, if you like that sort of thing | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 miketd (124) Cleveland, Ohio | January 19, 2011 Small but comfortable interior, very inviting. The crowd was a bit yuppie or treehugger, but that’s not a big deal either way. Service was good, but I heard it can be slow peak times. Decent food and the prices were ok. They had a couple really good beers on tap and I got an IPA from Hill Farmstead that was super. Cash only, so come with money. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 malrubius (23) Valley Stream, New York | June 12, 2010 Decent place. Went with a friend who lives nearby. Good relaxed atmosphere, comfortable for enjoying a beer. Service was good enough; they even picked up our dirty glasses and wiped the table, if I remember correctly. Small but well chosen selection of taps. We didn’t eat. Pretty good prices for New York. I would go back (except that my friend has moved to two blocks from 4th Avenue Pub). . | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 beershih_tzu (12) Brooklyn, New York | January 7, 2010| Updated January 14, 2010 closest beer bar to me so i go frequently. but if it weren’t in my neighborhood i’d go there anyways. haven’t been open that long (4-5 months?) but they seem to be doing it right. always interesting beers on tap and bottled. they have casks sometime but not often enough. good crowd, good music. bartenders are what you want in a neighborhood bar i.e. friendly, no poseurs. they have a kitchen that isn’t open yet so hopefully that will be great too. |
