Wow. I should point out firstly that i have chosen N/A for food becasue as far as i am aware they don’t do meals as such, but they have a great snack menu with, amongst other beer blotter items, fabulous Belgium cheese with the likes of Orval, Chimay and La Chouffe cheeses present. Artisan is the word here. Anyone who goes to Barca with an interest in beer should come here. A little bit of a train journey there but the option of regular night buses back to the city into the wee small hours, you have no excuses. Like stepping into a traditional Belgium beer cafe but with a superb selection of predominently Belgium beer which shuns the mainstream for a mix of classics and new wave micros. For example, Cantillon rarities, La Senne, Struisse and all the Trappist ranges. All the well regarded breweries are present plus a host of unusual, relatively unknown yet excellent new breweries’ beers. One of the highlights was draft Girardin Kriek and Oude Gueuze from boxes, a rarity in Belgium, nevermind Catalonia. Westmalle Extra, only sold at the abbey... all this next to a thoughtful and cutting edge selection of other world class beers from the likes of Mikeller, Nogne, De Molen (666), Great Divide (16th Ann Ale), Founders (Breakfast Stout) and a smattering of the best of Catalonia. Plus aged beers. I have been in some of the best bars in Europe and the world, many with many more beers, but few with such a quality selection which will leave the most seasoned beer hunter in for a long evening of indulgence. The Belgium owner, Sven, is a most graciuos host and loves all things beer and was great company the evening i was there, going well beyond the call of duty to make me feel welcome. His ability to obtain such rare and quality Belgium beers is testament to his enthusiasm, taste and knowledge of the shifting scene in the one of the world’s most traditional beer markets. I imagine if i returned in 6 months the selection willl include new rarities which Sven will have tracked down. Simply world class.

Good place (also terrace in summer). There are also local beers (from Catalonia). The selection is improving quite often

Really great service, only 300 beers, but 70 of them really special editions and aged beers. 20 km from Barcelona, but there’s a train to Mataró. Beers on tap were a great surprise.

Best place at all in Catalonia, also best place at all in Spain. Very good people serving the best beers around the world. Very good stock of aged bottles and kegs. A good place to go, sit, drink, eat, drink, learn a lot, and drink a little bit more.

I’ve never seen such a beer menu in Spain, it just likes as traveling to Belgium. Also beers from the States. And...Vintage Beers! Simply the best in Spain.
