Visited on our trip to Barcelona. The bar is actually located about 45 minutes outside of Barcelona to the Northeast. We took the train from Central Barcelona that included about 12 stops along the coast to Mataro. From the station its about a 15 minute walk straight into the center of the city. It is a little difficult to find as the Europa address has it behind a building that is a little confusing for those planning to visit. Overall, great atmosphere, very typical looking European bar with a few TVs and soft music playing in the background. They had a selection of about 15 taps with some locals and others from Europe and the US. The bottle selection was equally impressive with Belgian lambics and trappist beers plus a large selection of locals and US beers. We met the owner who was quite friendly and could tell took a lot of pride in his bar, service and selection. You could drink half or full pours and take bottles away. We didn’t try what food they had but small selection of cheese plates and light pub items primarily for snacking. Outside in the front had a small seating area to enjoy as well. The prices were quite reasonable and overall worth the 3 hour diversion from Barcelona. Even though its off the beaten path from Barcelona, worth the train ride and visit for a night of good beer drinking. Plan to visit again upon our return to Barcelona. World class beer bar that I would highly recommend visiting.

Nice place, probably the best craft beer bar in spain, Sven, the owner is a beer passionate and connoisseur, amazing list of vintage bottles, especially from belgium. The way he stocks his selection is impressive, in a huge space with controlled temperature.
I strongly suggest you to visit this place if you have the chance!

Great decoration, great ambiance. One of the best selection of beer I’ve found, with lots of belgian beers difficult to find here in Spain, and alsolots of other countries beers. Great variety on tap, and good service. I didn’t taste the food, but I’ll come back to taste it (and to drink good beer).
