Amazing. Especially considering relative to the area. Hill Farmstead distributes more to here than anywhere else. Very well curated tap list. 24 on tap downstairs.

Stopped for lunch here recently. Very impressed with everything. Had a stellar sandwich on special and tried several Hill Farmstead offerings on draft. Bartender was knowledgable and willing to offer samples. They offer half pours as well. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Brand new spot in downtown Burlington, right next to the Church Street pedestrian shopping strip. 24 taps of excellent beer, from Vermontís new Hill Farmstead to Stone and Southern Tier to Belgian and German style brews as well. Bottle list is good as well, with beers such as a couple of Cantillons and Mikkeller Brunch Weasel available. Food menu is still small with it being so new, but good burgers, comfort food, and cheese plates; almost everything is organic and from local farms in VT. Ambiance is great; they put in the time and money to make the place look good, but kept the intrigue of the floor of the old McDonaldís that it used to be. The best place in Burlington for good beer!

This may be the best tap room Iíve ever been to. I grew up outside of NYC, so am familiar with Ginger Man, Blind Tiger, etc. The selection here may not be as good as those establishments but the atmosphere in the basement/speakeasy bar makes up for it. On a cold, winter night the fireplace is like an oasis. Service is excellent and the servers are very friendly. This is the best beer bar in town.

nice-looking place, very crowded when we went. Amazing tap list, mostly local, plus a very interesting bottle list that we didnít even get to. Four from HF on tap. Our young server knew his beers and even suggested pairings. Great food too. One of the best places Iíve been to.

What an awesome place. Sat downstairs in the lounge. Great selection of beers from the region and beyond. Bar staff was fantastic. Snacky food that I had was awesome. Great atmosphere. Wish this was my local!

Best place in the city. Great taplist, food is tremendous. A bit pricier but quality is rarely free. Mac and cheese is the best anywhere. The big three are usually here on tap or in cand. Deadly cellar selection, lots of out of state and imports on tap. I could spend hours here.

Stopped in here this past weekend while in town for the HF Festival. I have wanted to check this place out since my first visit to the area, I made sure we stopped in this time.

Atmosphere is awesome. Beautiful outdoor areas, a patio out front and beer garden out back, to go along with the nice interior space. Drafts written on chalk boards above the bar and the bottle list in a leather bound book. Quality was top notch. All of out beers came in the correct glasses and the food could not have been better. Service was excellent. Our bartender was great, he talked to us quite a bit and helped us out whenever he could. Selection was great. They had all kinds of things on draft, most notable being Double Sunshine! We grabbed a bottle of De Ranke Kriek to round things out, making for an excellent desert. Food was the highlight for me. I got the beef burger with all the fixings and it was perfectly cooked and tasted excellent. Prices were a little high on the drafts and food but I am more than willing to pay for quality such as this.

Overall one of the best places I have visited in Vermont to date. I will definitely return in the future.

When I visited: Late May 2013. What I had: Over the course of two visits - Green Flash Saison Diego, Lagunitas New DogTown Pale Ale, Trapp Family Lodge Dunkles Lager, Prairie Artisan Ales Funky Galaxy Black Saison, and Harpoon Buck Double IPA on tap, House Made Bratwurst, Western North Carolina-style Pulled Pork, Roasted Fennel, Símore Dessert, and multiple glasses of LíAnge díOc Sauvignon Blanc for my significant other. What I liked: Invitingly warm, open, and vibrant atmosphere, ample space and privacy at our booth (first dinner), delectable food at fair prices, diverse and interesting draught list, quick service, waiters made excellent recommendations. What I disliked: Second time we came we had to endure a painfully snobby hipster couple sitting next us, but they left about halfway through our meal and things returned to normal after that. Would I go back? Yes. Farmhouse is an outstanding beer-focused restaurant that I would happily frequent again. Great spot all around. Overall Rating: 92
