Another stellar spot in Burlington. Inside, the place lacks the charm and appeal of their outside area. So if it’s nice out, definitely sit outside. They had probably the best beer selection in town; Lawsons and Hill Farmstead were both well represented but the beer selection was wide. We didn’t eat here; deciding to have lunch at American Flatbread instead, and I didn’t regret that (no knock on this place but an endorsement of AF). I’d love to go back here and try the food.

This place has an awesome taplist, particularly if you’re looking for saisons or sours. The food is unbelievable but is pricey for what it is (American Fare). Hang out in the basement if there is space, the ambiance is quite lovely. A must visit if you’re a beer fan in the Burlington area.

Restaurant bien tenu, accueil soigné, service rapide et courtois. Une sélection impressionnante de bière pour un restaurant (et même pour un brewpub...). Nourriture correcte, sans plus. Prix dans la norme des environs. Gros bémol, toutefois: on y sert pas plus de trois bières aux clients... Comme ils disent: "it’s a corporate decision..." Dommage.

When I visited: Late May 2013.
What I had: Over the course of two visits - Green Flash Saison Diego, Lagunitas New DogTown Pale Ale, Trapp Family Lodge Dunkles Lager, Prairie Artisan Ales Funky Galaxy Black Saison, and Harpoon Buck Double IPA on tap, House Made Bratwurst, Western North Carolina-style Pulled Pork, Roasted Fennel, S’more Dessert, and multiple glasses of L’Ange d’Oc Sauvignon Blanc for my significant other.
What I liked: Invitingly warm, open, and vibrant atmosphere, ample space and privacy at our booth (first dinner), delectable food at fair prices, diverse and interesting draught list, quick service, waiters made excellent recommendations.
What I disliked: Second time we came we had to endure a painfully snobby hipster couple sitting next us, but they left about halfway through our meal and things returned to normal after that.
Would I go back? Yes. Farmhouse is an outstanding beer-focused restaurant that I would happily frequent again. Great spot all around.

Great place in the heart of downtown Burlington. Nice variety tap list as well as bottle selection. Managed to get a few Hill Farmstead’s as well as Pannepot Reserve 2009. Food is great too and the place is packed.

Arrived here fairly late on a Friday evening after a week’s vacation driving thru the Canadian Maritimes & Quebec sampling beer. This place was high on my list of places to visit but when we were told the wait for a table to eat was 1 1/2 hr my family almost bailed. That was when they explained we could eat in the courtyard if we could find a table (we did) and didn’t mind doing our own ordering at the outside bar.(we didn’t). First thing I did was order a can of Heady Topper,,,stupid move...should’ve ordered two...by the time I went back for a second their stock had run out...LOL! Of course there were plenty of great beers to choose from and I made a serious dent in a number of local beers (Hill Farmstead, etc.). The family and I thoroughly enjoyed the food (I had an excellent burger) and atmosphere. We met and talked to some great people...lot’s of beer conversations of course. The service was very good even with the crowd. Family had a great time...I loved the selections...I will be back next chance I get. I highly recommend this place...worth going out of your way for.

Stopped in here this past weekend while in town for the HF Festival. I have wanted to check this place out since my first visit to the area, I made sure we stopped in this time.
Atmosphere is awesome. Beautiful outdoor areas, a patio out front and beer garden out back, to go along with the nice interior space. Drafts written on chalk boards above the bar and the bottle list in a leather bound book. Quality was top notch. All of out beers came in the correct glasses and the food could not have been better. Service was excellent. Our bartender was great, he talked to us quite a bit and helped us out whenever he could. Selection was great. They had all kinds of things on draft, most notable being Double Sunshine! We grabbed a bottle of De Ranke Kriek to round things out, making for an excellent desert. Food was the highlight for me. I got the beef burger with all the fixings and it was perfectly cooked and tasted excellent. Prices were a little high on the drafts and food but I am more than willing to pay for quality such as this.
Overall one of the best places I have visited in Vermont to date. I will definitely return in the future.

Arrived at 130, which was bad timing on a Thursday, super crowded with a 30+ minute wait. Plan accordingly, clears out around 230. The decor had a generic diner feel, just didn’t get it, a locals hang out for sure. Local tap list of roughly 20 beers including Edward and Double Sunshine, plus newer hyped beers like Mango Magnifico. Beer selection great, the rest was ok. Service was nice and into beer, but so busy, it was slow and disjointed. The food was fresh, go with a meat plate, but overall menu is boring and unimaginative. This is a most stop due to the beer, time it right and only be prepared for a snack not a full meal.

Best place in the city. Great taplist, food is tremendous. A bit pricier but quality is rarely free. Mac and cheese is the best anywhere. The big three are usually here on tap or in cand. Deadly cellar selection, lots of out of state and imports on tap. I could spend hours here.
