There was a time when a "cool" pub with a fridge full of high end beer would have cut the mustard in Melbourne but those times may have passed. Pub is classic ramshackle inner city north of the CBD. About 50 beers by bottle and some good stuff inc Anderson Valley, Rogue and Harringtons. Prices are not bad. Menu is great and most mains under $20. Taps are a let down and only the True South seasonal held any interest. Interestingly I didnít see a single punter buy buttled beer and there were old Rogues (fox label) that would be at least 2 years old!

Friendly staff. Great food. Good range of hard-to-find beers. Nice relaxed place.

Iím surprised the Fox hasnít already been added to the database as it has one of the best bottle ranges of beer in Melbourne. Iíve never had a problem of being denied the beer Iíve requested (meaning whatís on the list they have) and a solid range of locals and imports. The decor is old Victorian with excellent beer paraphernalia of vintage coasters and beer cans. Friendly staff who really enjoy their beer too.
